What a SOAKER!!!

Recommended Posts

Wettest summer I can recall after decades living in the White Mountains. Our roofer is coming over shortly because I've got a small pond in the master bedroom - still I'm glad for the moisture. I have a feeling it's going to be a very snowy winter.

Sorry about the leak, my wife and I put a metal roof on about 3 years ago and have loved the sound and solid no leaks it has provided! I hope you are right about the snow..........

Yeah I totally messed up. The one thing on this house I didn't do myself was the roof and that was 12 or so years ago. I sure wish I did myself and wish I had gone with metal too.

My brother in Louisiana put a metal roof on his house a few years ago. His house is one of the only houses in his neighborhood that didn't have roof damage from Ida earlier this week.

When we first bought our fixer upper here in Snowflake we told ourselves we couldn't afford a metal roof  so our 3 tab asphalt shingles lasted 20 plus years of Snowflake wind! We never had a leak but the number of shingles I was replacing each year began to bug me!

So in 25 years I have now roofed our fixer upper twice! Hopefully for the last time!
