firstcoueswas80 Report post Posted August 22, 2021 Have a breaker that keeps popping connected to my rear AC. In looking into it, there is a wire fried. Looking to see if anyone can chase down the problem and give a quote on fixing it. Located in Tucson.
bustedknuckleinc Report post Posted August 22, 2021 Honestly that is a high resistance connection. The wire was loose or corroding causing it to heat up. Trim it back clean the terminals on the breaker and reconnect it.

He did not know that the breakers have torque settings. Also, it is INCH Pounds, not foot pounds so your mechanic torque wrench (ft/lbs) will foul up the process. Found this on the WWW but verify with a real sparky here.
