i know it ain't a coues, buti have some photos of the biggest elk i've ever seen. supposed to have come from the san carlos in the past few days. appears that one o' the local apache fellers shot it. i've never seen anything like it. looks like an 11x13. maybe 12x13. since i lost that one toe, i can't count past 11. anyway, if someone is interested in posting them here let me know and i'll email em to ya. this thing is truly a tremendous bull. like world record tremendous. The bull was taken on the san carlos reservation by a hunter named Anthony Avalos. The bull is a 11x13 and it is supposed to score in the mid 440's as a non typical. If you go to http://www.boone-crockett.org/news/trophyWatch.asp?area=news and go under san carlos giant you will see a picture of the beast.

I have seen an e-mail of this brute and it looks HUGE! that photo from above does not do it justice.

I will see if I can get permission to post it!

Here's a few pictures of the Avalos bull, supposed to gross score around 444 B&C, looks much bigger at first glance but upon further inspection you might note the weak spread and weak main beams that'll probably hurt the final score, still one very huge bull though! This is one of four bulls that i know of from this year to gross over 400 inches from the San Carlos, the others are a NT that grosses 419 6/8 and couple of 6x6's i believe.

sorry if the pics are too big.
