45/70 hunter Report post Posted June 26, 2021 Does anybody use a red or a green light for varmint hunting at night. And if so what color works the best?

CatfishKev Report post Posted June 30, 2021 Red and green are supposed to be outside of a dog's visible spectrum. But white lights will also work there's a really popular hunting show where they have ginormous white lights shining in the dogs still come in but I read that they made that change for the sake of filming. But even though white lights work you have to think about all the times that you've been out night fishing and every time you turn on your headlamp the bugs completely attack your face that's really where the red and green lights will shine if your night hunting during bug season. oz31p Report post Posted June 30, 2021 Red seems to work best. Called in a few coyotes and a bobcat
