zackcarp Report post Posted May 31, 2021 Most my finds are in the Chiricahuas and Peloncillos. Tons of history with the Apache Wars.
Jazz Report post Posted June 1, 2021 Wife and I made an attempt to get up there. Almost made it from the 41, but it was too hot and didn’t have the time. We’ll try next week. On the way back on a neighboring finger, saw a rock with some drawings.. What do those spirals mean?? Was about 50 yards from a mini ruin with two rooms that I could make out. Also found a circle of sorts- about 50 yards wide. The only thing that made it a circle was a series of rocks that had a rock on top of it. Kinda like a trail marker but we were bushwhacking- no trails in the area. That was kinda cool. That was pretty close to the petro.

zackcarp Report post Posted December 23, 2021 I was helping with a sheep hunt over the weekend and discovered some ruins I had never seen. The whole canyon seemed to be full of them. And then I remembered this thread.

From 1995 til about 2003, all the ones I knew about have been excavated around Holbrook and Snowflake. One is still untouched but I expect it to be gone soon as the wind turbines brought roads closer to it. I wish I could have caught the people that did it while they were in the act. I’ve heard about a few people up there that collected massive amounts in those years

Edge Report post Posted December 23, 2021 Found all these items on my gold claim east of Crown King. A friend of mine whom belongs to the areas Yavapai Tribe thinks this spot was used as a rites of spring gathering place. Be careful if you venture there. According to legend, area is guarded by spirit dogs and unreformed Bumble creatures.
