I agree they don't put any dents in the population but..

they do a lot of eating! The browns make for a nice alternative to catching the similar sized rainbows all day on fly gear. I won't be turning any in for a bounty.

There was an increase in rainbow size the last few years when they did the experimental bug flows but now there is an even bigger flow change happening. I hope this doesn't screw anything up.

Reminds me of the eradication of the northerns in other lakes. Who wants to catch 20lb northerns when you can catch 10” rainbows

Big difference in being paid to fish and paid to catch. If we were getting paid to fish I don't think half of us would show up for our real jobs tomorrow.

You couldn't pay me to keep a brown trout. I remember as a kid catching them in Woods Canyon, Willow Springs, Black Canyon, Knoll, and Blue Ridge. Those days are pretty much long gone. Now they are trying to get the bass out of Willow Springs

I think most if not all guys that fish lees ferry would rather catch a nice brown and release it to catch again, than get $30.

AZGFD has been removing bass for almost a decade.

I know they have been doing it for a long time, Willow is still a good smallmouth and largemouth fishery with all the efforts AZGFD has put into eradicating them.
