Wall pedestal Javalina with custom jawset

Finished up this custom wall pedestal mount. This javelina had some unique features to its teeth and jaw. The client wanted the teeth of the mount to match the cleaned skull rather than have a generic jawset installed. So we molded the teeth and entire inner mouth from her javelina and created a custom jawset for her mount. This piece includes 2 Steinbok, a Common Duiker and 2 Red Duikers. The two Steinbok and the Common Duiker were mounted by another taxidermist and were all on separate small bases. The customer wanted them combined, with the two new Red Duiker that we mounted, all in one large corner wall habitat. This is what we came up with. Couple close ups of the Red Duikers we mounted.

Lost Bull Found!!!! Can't beat a Bloodhounds nose!!

Received a call yesterday from our local G&F manager, he was helping a hunter try to recover his elk, and was looking for any dogs that could bloodtrail. We told him we had a bloodhound and we have used her before to trail wounded game. We told him he was welcome to come get her and see if she could find the hunters elk. We didn't know if Daisy would work for a stranger so we were on pins and needles all afternoon and evening waiting to hear if she had found it. Finally at 7:12 pm Heather got this text "We just got the elk out, Dasiy found him, she was awesome, thanks a ton." Don't know the hunters name, but, glad we were able to help, congratulations on your bull!- 29 replies

15yrs + Bull Elk "Old Monarch of the Mountian"

We noticed some unique features on this bull when he came in the shop, and at the request of the hunter, we recreated this "Old Monarch of the Mountian" for him. The G&F aged this bull at 15+, he had only 4 teeth left!
