I bought a home made (yet good quality) dehydrator back about 30 years ago. Two years ago, it quit.
What quit was the adjustable heating element. It is a brown cone shaped affair with wires wrapped around it. They look like the inside of a toaster. This unit screws into a light socket. When I try and explain my dilemma or show someone the heating element, all I get is dumb stares and "I have no idea". I really had no expectation that I could/would find an exact replacement, but thought someone could/would be able to point me at a 21st century replacement.
So...anyone have a 'best guess' at what a new replacement heating element is called/can be found?
Thanks in advance.
