After sitting in the blind for 14 hours yesterday this bear passed on a nearby hill, I climbed out of the blind and got to 22 yards and put the swhacker broad head right through the heart. One of the most intense things I have ever done. Unfortunately while packing it out my phone factory reset and deleted all the pictures and video. Also that is the last time I shoot a bear by myself they are a lot heavyer than you think. Thanks to miles and my dad for coming and helping with the last load. here are the trail cam pics of the bear. G&F estimated the bear between 18-20 years old!

My Buddy Hunter DeWitt invited me on a Bear hunt up on the reservation. First day I shot this color phased from about 150 yards +/-. Fun hunt. Bear was right at 6 foot. Cant wait to get the rug back from Badlands Custom Taxidermy!

Well I started off my pig hunt with hopes of killing a blonde pig I had seen the previous year while hunting whitetail. The group with the blonde one had been hitting our trail cam irregularly but we knew it used the area. After opening day went by without seeing the pigs or any fresh sign I went to bed hoping the next day would turn out better. Around 10 in the morning came and still hadn't seen anything so I figured they had gone over into the next range of hills and was about to head that way. Then all of a sudden I see a dark object 400 yards away and I checked with the binos and sure enough it was a javelina and there were more around it all feeding. And the blonde one was with them. To sum the story up, after about two hours of stalking the group several times and being busted each time; after drawing my bow back and almost decided to fill my tag on a normal dark javelina but deciding against it each time; I finally got it done. I was just full draw on a pig at 25 yards as it walked a circle around me and I almost let an arrow fly. I take a few more steps and there's the blonde one facing me at 33 yards but hadn't seen me. He turned ever so slightly and I let it fly through his neck and front shoulders. He ran down the hill 20 yards and expired. It's hard to get a specific javelina out of a group when they are all around you. Normally I just shoot the first one that gives me a shot opportunity, but I'm glad I passed up those other shots. I'm going to have him shoulder mounted and then later whenever I get a really dark javelina I'll mount them side by side. Enjoy the pics and thanks for reading.

Hunter was with his dad on the hunt we did for him earlier in the month. He is a fantastic kid, most everyone in camp could not believe he was 13. After 2 days of close calls earlier in the month the unit closed and Hunter had to go back to school. He got caught up on school and his dad informed me if we had any openings he would love to get Hunter back out for another chance. Sunday morning at daylight they rolled in. After running into some other bear hunters in the spot we originally had planned to hunt we went to plan B. We changed country and rigged a bear late and did not end up getting him caught. The next 2 days were brutal, the feed seemed to have changed again and the bears had moved from where we finding them last week. Tuesday night Randy gave Hunter the option to go home so he wouldn't miss anymore school. Thankfully for us he stayed and we were able to get him what may be the prettiest bear I have ever seen. Literally if you run the hide one way it is a golden blonde, when you run it the other a strawberry red. Being his first big game kill Hunter got the honors of gutting the bear. He put a fantastic shot on it with a .44 lever action. It was awesome seeing the excitement in the kids face when he realized "thats MY BEAR" Ironically, he killed this bear on the 4th day of his hunt and his dad killed his on the 4th day as well. This was truly a nailbiter, the night before we found out the quota had been met and the unit was going to close and dark Wednesday. I think we will all remember this hunt for a long time, and we will look forward to future hunts with Randy and Hunter. In my opinion these type of hunts are the best part of being an outfitter. -Mike
