Hey all - I was pulled for the bull elk hunt for November, unit 3a & 3c. Does anyone know the area very well? I heard it's tough since they're all tuckered out for the season. This is my first ever so was wanting to land one if I can (just like everyone else, I guess). Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi All, After a few years of putting in (6), I finally got drawn. I put in for both Bull and Cow elk in a few different areas, and had heard that these units held trophy elk. I did get drawn....for cow. The hunt is from November 4 - December 8th. I have never hunted these areas personally, but have heard that the success is generally lower. Any tips/suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

My uncle and I drew late rifle bull tags and we were blessed with two beautiful bulls. Although we were hunting in different places we both had our bulls down opening morning by 8 a.m. I just want to say thanks to my family and close friends for letting this be the hunt I have been dreaming of since I knew what hunting was. i'm curious about a hunt published in the last easrman's bowhunting mag, it was guided by vaquero outfitters and it says is private land, just wondering what unit has private land? i thought more or less all the units were public land except the reservations. does anybody has any ideas?
