I know a guy that lives a few towns over that could get 380-390 outta that bull... so the tape is not really imoprtant unless it is a top 5 critter.... Again... CONGRATS,KID!!!!

Okay... Troy Boy.... I still think you are on the high side, but I will put a 1/4" steal tape on him on Memorial day W/E... This Thread is great!!! I was there when this bull hit the dirt... the "Tradition" and Kat parked this bull with one shot at 450 yards on the last day of her hunt... she was patient, passed bulls waiting for me to get back and help her and Dad kill a No Brainer.... But, it just goes to show you why EVERY Frickin' bull "guys" see is a 350"!!!!!! I have held, seen, bloodied my hands on BIG BULLS.... this is a good bull... a NO BRAINER to a young and up-and-coming hunter..... BUT IT AIN"T NO 350"!!!!!! NOT EVEN!!! Thunderheads or 3 Blade Muzzy's... IMO.... are the only sure bet on elk. You can shoot them through a 55 gal. steel drum and still kill with them..... I also like the bigger cutting diameter, elk have longer hair that can help clot the hole faster.... no blood trail.... no elk. As for planing... tune your broadheads to your arrows and you should be just fine! Congrats on the tag!

I think we have this conversation every year.... ....we are all butt hurt cuz we didn't draw. I, however, do support the old 3 year wait system... actually I think it would need to opperate as a 5 BP system..... 1 hunter Ed point, 1 Loyalty point, and 3 BP's, before you were eligible for a tag.... this would do several things.... It would stop us from wanting to Murder those who draw back to back or 2 out of 3 years.... and although it would not solve all the problems it would help a lot on elk.... there are a bunch of good units that a guy almost count on drawing every third year if hundreds of hunters were back on the waiting list. Your 1% and 2% draw odd units won't be affected much but there are a bunch of 10% plus draw odds units that would give you the chance to hunt more regularly....IMO. I have a hunch that the Anti's that apply might spend there money else where if they had to build 5 BP's before they could take a tag from us!

Looks to me like that is about a total of 5% less actual applicants for the elk tags (almost 4000 if you count the increase in BP only!) and about 10% on the Speed goats (about 2500 if you count the added BP only)... My math might be Flawed but that is how I read it.... ...or wanted to read it....

Call him but I think it is like $695. I should know I have like 9 deer shoulder mounts that he has done for us... ... but I am not for certain that is the correct price..... Reguardless of price, you will not be disappointed in the work that he turns out!
