atv street legal ticket
Coues 'n' Sheep replied to jnobleinaz's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Any road in the county that is not private is under the jurisdiction of Federal, State, AND County Law enforcement. The laws are Really BS all the way around.... If you really take them at their words... the term "off road" promotes the thing we all hate seeing which is cross country travel.... honestly I think unless you are a rancher or racer/duner, all ohv's should have the be streel legal.... It just makes it less complicating. I was really mad about this new OHV sticker when it first came out, but now that I have done it on my ranger and my wheeler, it actually is saving me money over what it was costing me each year to keep my toys registered! As for the Smog crap all you folks in "Hole" have to deal with.... I'd say that you must know someone who lives in some other county or town that does not have to deal with "smog crap"????..... .... -
Jeff, I have only had one run-in with three dogs on a late archery bull hunt.... they came past me at about 50-60 yds and didn't offer a shot so I let them move on in hopes an elk would come... they were dang sure ferrel. I most certainly know that is is a localized problem.... some areas have them and others do not. They all need to be shot, however, one must be certain that they don't wack someone's pack of pets.... there are a bunch of dog lovers that like to take their unruly mutts (2-10 animals at once) and walk them through the woods where they chase everything that moves. Me and Zip have had to move away from one mob like that once already this year... .... I'd hate to have kill several of someones ill-mannered pets to save my pup... but I will if need be. I never go to the woods without my .45 anymore.... kind weird considering not 5-10 years ago I rarely packed one when out messing around in the woods. To many weird things like ferrel dogs and pot farms out there these days to feel as safe as I used to in the woods alone.

NICE find Jimbo! The good ones like that are not laying under every tree! What makes it even better is getting to see the bull on the hoof! Thanks for posting your TC pics as well Shane! Did anyone see this bull last year??

Tim, I still been thinkin' about our conversation yesterday and I really think you will be plenty happy with the STS 65 in the applications we talked about. A little smaller and a touch lighter and in the HD I think it helps 65 be more comparable to the 80. Best of luck, bud!

Coues 'n' Sheep replied to Coues 'n' Sheep's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Just got word that the Clay at Mogollon Taxi just did the Official B&C score on Erins buck and it was as good as we thought!! 118 6/8" gross typical B&C 114 2/8 net typical B&C Clay said the gross would have been about 1 4/8 bigger had he not chipped the end off of that G2, which would have added nearly 3" to his Net score.... What a Stud Buck! Congrats Erin!! I know how stoked (and humble) you are about it! The memories are priceless my friend!!! -
accidental shooting on turkey hunt?
Coues 'n' Sheep replied to elkhutnaz's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
I don't think these two guys were hunting together... it mentioned that the shooter did follow up and also meet authorities at the highway. Maybe he went to break his camp or something??? Either way I just can't understand how you can mistake a man for a turkey.... " A hundred thousand sperm and that was the strongest swimmer?" -
I'm guessing I'll have to bring 2 pork chops to pass through in the dark now??? Friends shoud at least warn friends not to use them!! Jeremy was using Rage on his big buck (they worked awesome!) and I think for lighter boned critters they are great... but on elk??? I'm thinkin' not for me.

Monster Archery Buck *UPDATED*
Coues 'n' Sheep replied to Coues 'n' Sheep's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
Well after over a year of waiting.... the P&Y convention had arrived!! The Coues deer and CW.com were well represented with bucks from Gary I. and Jeremy U., as well as some other very outstanding bucks!! After all the bucks went through the panel scorering process, Top Non-typical Coues Award for this Recording Period went to extreme coues, making him the official current #2 P&Y!!! Congrats buddy!!! Also a big congrats to Clay @ Mogollon Taxi, his official B&C score of 120 0/8 net held up to the panel judges!!! Glad to know you can count on your Taxi to give you a score you can bank on! I will try to get Jeremy to post some pics of the Convention or some thing... Conrgats again, my Friend!!!! -
OMG!!! I am sorry but I Gotta say this! I would give up spring turkey hunting in this state for the rest of my life if they keep letting the kids hunt OTC!!!!! I can easilly hunt in other states for birds, but for a family to travel out of state for a dangged old yard bird would be out of reach for most. It blows me away when adults have a "Me, Me, Me!" attitude vs. their kids or any kids!!! Youth turkey and pig hunts are the very best kids programs out there IMO.... Every turkey and pig taken by kids is a trophy and there is no adult ego's involved in harvesting pigs and turkeys! These are low stress hunts that have high impact on the future hunters! This OTC deal is one of the finest progams I have seen AZGF ever do for our kids and although my boys are to old to benifit from it I still love it! The success rate for these kids is fairly low, like Terry said about 25% in camp, but I know of atleast a half dozen more that struck out on birds this weekend as well.... So I don't think they slaughtered the population by any means... Any adult that would feel wounded by kids have the first crack at all the birds is just being selfish...IMO. There is a big difference between buying a tag and ground checking a bird.... but a Grand Time was had by every kid that went out as best as I have heard!! That is Priceless!!!

I did not serve but I too am eligiable to be branded a RWE.... Anyone here make bumper stickers???? I might need a few more.... I'd like one that says..... I was Extreme before Right Wing was Extreme I always thought the Libs were Wacko's but... my goodness... calling every one that is right of the far left Extreme is just jaw dropping to me.

Chrissy, no it is not the same buck.... If that is the buck I think it is, then that buck is dead, and was in a different Hemisphere of the state. And if it is not the buck I think it is, then it was still most certainly not even in the same county.

Last fall my Bro-in-law found this coues shed while out scouting a new unit. It is actually a Giant fork w/ eye guards and an extra tine coming off of the G2.... and the G2 is almost even with the end of the beam!! We will call him Zeus for he carried a mighty Trident!!!! Now I just need him to go figure out how ground check this God of Bucks or his sons!!!! It scores 57 6/8" and as you can see the 16 4/8" beam has the end chewed off. Monster sideracks being found all around me!!! When will it be my turn????

Keith, Atleast you got a response..... ...however pathetic it was. I on the other hand got no response! My feelings are hurt that this guy won't personally judge me in an email!! -
Been seeing this on the news and was wondering if it will happen and if folks are really gunna go??? Is there anyone listening even if folks take to the streets and protest???? This is starting to look worst than a Jimmy Carter Administration.....

i sent this comment to the guy through his web site... These people need help... their numbers are proof how much more dangerous cars are than guns! I really think that your organization would be much better served to carry the torch for Child/teen Drug addiction, child automobile safty, not letting kids ride bicycles on busy road ways.... etc...etc...etc... I read your article in my local paper and cannot help but shake my head.... In a time when parents spend less time with there children than ever your "committee" attacks one of the few groups in modern America that still spends quallity time with and actually is raising their kids! Your views are twisted and out of touch, you obviously have not walked a mile in the shoes of the people you attack. You have no idea that for most of the families that you attack you are promoting generation robbery! It is not a sport to the large majority of these families.... it is a way of life!!! I would never defame a person who would choose not to hunt, who would choose not to be a conservationist! And yet you and people like you defame me and other like me each and every day. I ask you this in closing.... If not for all the funds put up by sportsmen (and women)in this country who will pay for the conervation efforts and stewardship of our wildlife.... Mother Natures renewable resource??? -

This Joe Meile is so dang smart that he can't even publish his website address right.... Here is that right link if you all were interested in what this BONEHEAD is all about. www.all-creatures.org/cash/ Just copy and paste it... cuz it didn't work as a link.... -

Coues 'n' Sheep replied to Browning'sCustomMeat's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
That is just crap!! I just don't get people like that!! It is far more dangerous to put your kids in a car and drive down the road, than it is to take them hunting! Not to mention that every kid that goes hunting participates in all the "Non-violent outdoor recreation" items he lists plus a variety of educational items, including, biology, conservation, and gun safty... as well as how to feed yourself if alone in the woods.... Which I am certain most inner-city kids can not do! Jeremy, Was that in Editorials? Maybe a flood of responces published in the paper would show that goofball he is not welcome to post his crap in small town papers! -

+1 I'll drink to that!! For the life of me, I just can't figure out how or why or when the Meat and Potato/Backbone of this country became the "one's to watch"???? Jeff you said it!!!! WTF!!! -
I agree, Tim! I can't figure out how to make sheds look as big as they are when I take pics.... I figured you would chime in and point that out.... the horn is a beast! I had to put a good tape on it this morning since my Bro-in-law wanted it back. I am glad it was here when you stopped by the other day and I have not heard anything about your Muzzy... yet. When you get you gun back I'll try to have Colton's big siderack with me.
