Coues 'n' Sheep

If you are worried about the legality at that moment.... Call your local WM and they will probably give you the "go ahead" or the "no way" based on the situation.... I'd bet on the "go ahead" if you are square with them.

I just got a got a Phone pic of a TOAD coues buck.... and I think I recognize the face behind that MONSTER BUCK!! Anyone else seen the pic or know the story???

I was soured on cutting my own meat at a young age.... so I usually have the whole thing done..... but on some things I just take my grind meat in to the processor.

Was the antler only pic taken at your camp? There was a huge camp right there.... I'd stopped in if I had known... we hualed about 3 cords of wood outta there last weekend. Congrats to your buddy on the bull!

OH Boy.... Aparently them Payson boys are a lot friendlier than we all thought....

Bought a used Chaparrel (sp?) long bow from my Barber a few months back... He's an old school archer from Ohio.... been doing it over 30 yrs and he recomended that I find a quiver that would wrap around my limbs and ad some weight to the bow.... I plan to hunt my pig tag with long bow (if I don't see pigs when I'm deer hunting) and therefore need a way to carry those wicked looking two blades I am shooting..... So.... If anyone has one sitting in their "Spare Box" that they never use and want to sell it.... please let me know! Thanks!

Sure wish I'da had an able-bodied guy like you over there Matt... all our big bulls lived for next year (as far as I know).... We killed a 320 on opening morning with a 63 year old man... his largest bull to date and a less than 400 yd. down hill pack to boot! When does that ever happen?? My buddy's guy (76 yrs old) blew 3 great opportunities in two days at a 340-350 type bull... and it too was an easy bull.... but we had fun anyhow. Congrats to your buddy, a 325 bull is a great late bull! I can't wait to see the pics!

So sad... this is the deadliest hunting season in my lifetime, in respect to human life... so sad.... the news just reported two more hunters found dead.... just sad. I did not know any of these folks that have parished but my thoughts and prayers to the families and friends of those lost. It is amazing how one freak storm could sneak up and smack us down like this... it just proves that human life is fragile. As I told my wife... here in AZ you can't ever out guess the weather... the Dam Weather Guessers never get it right.... when we are in the woods most don't stay up on news.... we have gotten so used to 80 degree Dec. hunts.... and now we are morning the loss of our brothers... kindred spirts... fellow hunters.... I will be more prepared myself in the future, I will do my best to to learn from this tragic storm. Rest in Peace... my brothers.

I had to pick two.... Trophy potenial and close to home. All coues units have trophy potenial.... you just gotta get out there and work for it... obviously the further south you go the more deer there are, and that is nice.... more deer means more big bucks. So my reall reason is close to home. I have more time to hunt if I'm close to home.... and I believe I can find a big buck anywhere if I have enough time.
