Coues 'n' Sheep replied to Browning'sCustomMeat's topic in Conservation Group Events
Why don't buy a couple of dinner tickets so you can watch him win! And possibly win something yourself. Lots of goodies this year!! -Jeremy- To many people for this billhilly Yeah... you wouldn't know how to have a good time in Public anyhow..... Besides I'll be in Africa this year and will miss the banquet... meaning a lot more prizes for everyone else!!! HaHaHa....Heheheh.... I am kinda wondering why I have not gotten my packet in the mail yet..... .... Tina will attend with Troy and Trish.... sucks that they didn't do it one Saturday later.... -
Well I posted a Happy B-day on your FB page and I did go vote for Bullwinkle, as well... Hope you had a good one, Stan.

Game&Fish - Operation Photo date check
Coues 'n' Sheep replied to C.O.U.E.S.'s topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
I agree. The game and fish has a hard enough job as it is. If the time stamp is incorrect check it out...I would have no problem with them at my door. How many times have there been pics on this site when the date was wrong on the pic and someone asked... What about those 3 that killed 2 bighorn ewes and took pic posing with them. They took photo evidence of their crime to show off, and it sealed their fate. I question some of the photos on the G&F site. why shouldnt they. Its like cops. RSEPECT them. They chose a job where nobody likes them... If they show up at my door, they need to have a search warrant or else I'm shutting the door. DB... ...You crack me up!!! I guess the difference with me is I know the WM's ... I'd invite them in and offer "soda or coffee".... they are just doing the job. I'd hope that someone would not slam their door in my face if I drop by to inform them about driveway or home maintenance options.... just trying to do my job ya know. Just cuz they get their paycheck from the State of AZ instead of from a consumer (like I do) does not make them bad guys.... .. I've had the "Knock on the Door" or the "Phone Call"... it does not mean I am guilty of anything.... I have never gotten a citation or anything as result of those "Knocks" or "Calls"...When it happend to me, I was butt hurt about it, then I got to thinkin' about how I was glad they followed up on it cuz they proved that I had not done anything wrong, and the last thing I want is someone being able to point a finger a me... so no harm no foul... Just cuz they chat with you does not mean anything was wrong or anyone is guilty.... just means they are doing their job.... and for most of them it is just a job. -
Soloution to carry your Range Finder
Coues 'n' Sheep replied to stalkincoues's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
Well running behind on this kind of stuff.... But I used the heck out of my Range Snap this season....and.... I like it a lot!! I would recomend it to all of you I was nice to have my range finder right where I needed it all the time! There are couple of items that I will point out as drawback that I think will easily be remidied in the nexty generations... on would be that your rangefinder needs a dust cover that is something I have got to get done for next season because twice I had to clean my mine inorder to get distance readings.... the other would be that I must have a long neck cuz I could a little more length out of my lanyard.... Otherwise I think this is a First rate way to carry a rangfinder, or GPS, or Radio, etc..... my biggest concern was looing it in the brush and I can assure you that from Sept. til the end of Dec. mine hung safely on my shoulder strap of my J107.... For a new product I give it a 9 out of 10 and with a few upgrades it will be a solid 10!! Thanks again to Christian for letting me test this in the field for so long before I gave my personal seal of approval! In closing I'd like to ask Christian to develope a neoprene style (or fleece) bikini cover for rannge finders and GPS radios! Thanks! -
Hope your surgey went well... what a sad story.... people just don't take shotguns serious enough. I know of a gentelman who lost his lower leg this year because of a novice who did not treat every gun as if it were loaded. We will Pray for a speedy recovery for you. As for your "hunting buddy" I am sure they did a police report at the Hospital because of the nature of the wound...but I am not sure that other than a civil suit you'd get much for your med costs... and that will likely cost you more than it is worth.... maybe a letter from an attorney would work, if you know one. On another angle.... I hope that you have learned that choosing who you go to the woods with can be a life altering decision... best of wishes. Parents: Please let your kids read this story and see the pics.... so this kind of thing can be avoided by our up and coming hunters. Hunters and Gun Enthusiasts: Forward this link to your friends and hunting buddies.... so that they to can see what moment of carelessness can produce.

I've got a matching pair of HK Tactical .45's.... They sport back-to-back serial numbers and have never been fired. They are new in the "suit cases" they came in and have all the original paperwork and accessories. This model has the threaded barrels and I am told is the same model that the Seals use.... Just kinda fishing.... if I can sell them in this market I will.... if not fine.....

Coues 'n' Sheep replied to Coues 'n' Sheep's topic in Classified Ads
bonecollecter, I'll be sending you a PM.... Casey, Yes, these are back to back serial numbered guns that are NIB.... they were owned by a FFL collector who left them to his Grandson... the Grandson needed money and offered to consign them (and several other guns) at my buddy's gun and pawn shop... he immediately called me and bought I them then and there as an investment. I purchased these guns through his shop so as to insure these guns were clean and legit..... I will sell them FTF or shipped through an FFL... These guns are going on GunBroker today or tomorrow. -
I know we usually ask for prayers for sad occasions.... But to today I'd like everyone to send a quick prayer out to Skeeter (Jed) and his new Bride (Jimi Lei)... and their Boys on this special day..... To a long and Loving life and marriage! God Bless!

Any info on Video camera rentals?
Coues 'n' Sheep posted a topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
I have what I think is a pretty dang good videa camera for the up coming Africa trip... however a friend that I ran into yesterday sugested rental equipment vs. spending upgrade $$$ on more stuff that I'd want for my cam.... He had mentioned that he thought that there were several companies in or around the Pheonix area that offered these services.... any input or advice would be apreciated. If I find an outfit that specializes in this sort of thing then I could then use my own equipment as back up... Thanks! -

Coues 'n' Sheep replied to elkhutnaz's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
No dount! I had know Idea they were that high!! elkhutnaz, Send TAM a pm... he owns the next gun that I want... I'll probably buy the action (predator action) and have my gunsmith build the gun for me as I already have a barrel.... TAM will tell you all about his and it sounds like the guy that built it is really good and about 1/2 what that Gun Werks price is.... Good Luck... -

Any info on Video camera rentals?
Coues 'n' Sheep replied to Coues 'n' Sheep's topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
Thanks Eric.... I did some research... lets get together this week. -
I have always seen that hoof size was a direct conection with body size on the bucks we have taken... not so much horn size.... and the shape of the track can often show some reflection in the age... meaning mature or not.... mature vs. old... We have taken several large bodies bucks that we not large antlered and some very small bdied bucks that were packin' large racks. Obviously... the genetic code for body size and antler size can be different.... this is one of the largest bodied bucks I have ever seen in person... 108 1/8" gross This, however, was on of the smallest..... 109 7/8" gross I was not with Colton when he took this deer but he is a Giant bodied buck.... that grosses 112 4/8" I look more at the shape of track vs. size I guess is what I am saying....
