    Tanzania pics

AMAZING pics!! Thanks for sharing!! Did you hunt while there as well??How bout that Ele and those Dugga Boys!! The one thing that I did not enjoy about Zim was that is it was so thick that photo opps were very minimal.... I'd certainly put Botswana and Tanzania at the top of my list for a return trip!

    I've done it! I'm a ship jumper!!

That would have been Jeremy.... he is behind the counter all day every day. And if you want it in stock, I'd bet money he can have it for you in a few days. Hope you make the trip down there, Jason... we could do lunch. Guys.... Bows are like underwear.... they have to fit YOU...and no one else.... Shoot several bows from Each line... If you don't then you really have nothing to compare to. I have been wanting to switch to Hoyt for almost 2 years, ever since I shot my first Alphamax.... it was just that sweet.... I know what I am looking for in a bow for me and I can tell in a couple of arrows if it is gunna work..... right now the Hoyt is THE Bow for me.... in a couple years who knows? Shoot the best now and worry about rest later!!! Jeremy has lots of bows down at the shop to test drive.... it is worth trip to do so. NOTE: Chasin' a Dream is sponsoring a Raffle for a Free Bow (any new bow on the shelf except the carbon matrix) The tickets can be puchased all this week at the shop, $10 each or 11 for $100... all proceeds go to charity in the name of Randy Morder... stop in and get your tix this week...... the drawing is Statuday!!!

Well I'd like to agree with you... but not all equipment is created equal.... Shoot the best you can afford and and work hard to be a clean ethical hunter.... regardless what you shoot. However, by shooting only the best gear the market has to offer it is easier for us, than some of you other guys! That is why even though the gear I was shooting was good (very good by most standards) I chose to step up to the plate and invest in better equipment this year.... it is cheap when you consider the gas and time off work, etc. that I spend getting ready for hunting season... why not spend a few more bucks on the BEST gear. Now I just need my Wife to get her butt down to Jeremy's shop and shoot the recently arrived Mathew's Passion so she can decide if she is buying it or the Hoyt Vixen.... either way... If she doesn't draw a Carp tag north of "the Ditch", she will be tagging out on a nice buck in August with a new bow from Chasin' a Dream! I can't wait for August, cuz my wife is sooo excited about that hunt!!

    CWT Bass Tourney

Really easy for a bunch of folks to get together and have a "friendly" tourney.... and a "side pot" that doesn't exist can be over looked.... I've been told that organizing a Tournament gets pricy cuz every Gov. agency out there wants a piece of the "action".... plus Insurances, etc.... so as I was told..... I'd play if it was a catfish tourney...LOL!

3 1/2 weeks in Zimbabwe.... I made it back!

Hey all... Eric over at Payson Outfitters sent me what will be "Chapter 1" of our Africa video.... the last chaper will actually have the rest of the Ele footage and hunting in it. Please don't Crucify the camera men (or the narrator) in this video... but Eric would like to know what you think of the editing and the overall video..... Eric asked me for star ratings, kinda like this.....* sucks..... ** poor.....***mediocre....**** great..... *****excelent..... Thanks! I personally thought is was great except fo me being in it.... <img src="http://forums.coueswhitetail.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> This is about 13-14 minutes of high def Video.... <b>it takes like hours down load</b> if you don't have High Speed internet.... so please be advised..... Also click play then pause..... it will start to download then. <a href="http://vimeo.com/12052888" target="_blank">http://vimeo.com/12052888</a> Thanks for your input..... in advance.

Hey when you out shoot me you can talk but who cares if you can spell it or not when you shoot record book animals and out shoot the ones who talk smack about ones who do shoot a precision shooting equipment the name says it all hahaha Dang!!! ....And all this time we all thought it was Pretty $hitty Equipment.... Who knew??? I can't knock the Mathews bows... they have treated me very right....Killed a lot of P&Y criiters with them.... and I am thinkin' this Hoyt is gunna do me right as well..... but PSE.... not in my future..... ... I'd shoot a Bowt-Anchor first.....

It's ok guys you can admit it.... you all secretly want to be like me!!!!! lol.........fire away..lol Well.... .... Might I point out that Hoyt just got good enough for your Higher Quallity friends..... If nothing else Manny... you are a trend setter..... Kinda like being country... before country was cool! Guess now that we shoot the same bow and drive the same trucks as our Idol... we will have to find other things to give him Crap about like Doughnuts, and Profiling, and Height vs. Girth.... ya know... more personal things!!! Thanks for makin' me laugh, Pal!

    Way to go James!

    Before and after photos!

Could be. But look at the left beam of both bucks. The trailcam buck lays out a little flatter and the dead bucks beam turns up. The distance between the G2 and G3 on the trailcam bucks rightside looks longer. May be a rock in the background but looks like the G1's are equal on the trailcam buck. It may just be the angles of the photos though. I'm no expert, but Manny has a point.... as well as the buck on the cam looks like he still had a bit of growing to do and more mass..... Either way 2 great bucks!!

Well the time has come, I will have my very own...

Now that is funny.... guess you are known county wide JB!!!
  12. HaHaHaHa..... We were checking farm fields in the Communal Area of the Dande East on the first morning of hunting in Africa, when my buddy, Ron, spots this farmers shirt….. We had a long of talk on the truck as we droned along about “President” Mugabe and how his dictator ship had sent the once prosperous “Rhodesia” into the steadily decaying country of Zimbabwe. Also how Mugabe was at one point during his current tenure, one of the 10 wealthiest people in the world! In the conversation/ history lesson Ron decided that he’d like to have that shirt that the Farmer was wearing as a memento of the trip and the country. As we further discussed the idea with Buzz (our PH), he said we would be going back there to look for Ele tracks again the next day, so a trade might be possible…. Now what to trade? I told Ron I had a Grong Orange CW.com t-shirt in my bag that I’d part with for his cause…. He said if I didn’t mind that would be great, since he didn’t have any t-shirts with him. However, as I went digging through my luggage and found a better shirt to trade… when I held it up for Ron, he burst out with laughter and said, “That is Perfect!” This New shirt was of Western politics… and so the was to trade good for evil, clean for dirty, and have a great time doing it!! The next morning we set our plan in motion!! This is how it all went down… He was very eagar to get rid of that old rag! Everyone is happy.... And back to field he went.... ...and one last smile as we drove off... that is his home in the back ground. Well…. no one else on the Truck had even ever heard of a “pin head”… so some explanation of the O’Reilly Factor and what a “Pin Head” is, was made… some laughs were had, but the “Proper" English personalities of our hosts kept them form have near the fun that we did… and we (Ron and I) had WAY too much fun with this little fiasco! We went on our way… Ron with his filthy souvenir and both of us with lots of laughs and memories of that exchange. Back in the States we get this email from Buzz’s partner at CM Safaris, Miles… and it says: That shirt that Gino swopped has caused a huge ruckus with our local politicians which is quite hilarious!!! Buzz had to find another [Mugabe shirt], return it to the owner and say "here is your shirt back, and the client says you can keep his no problem". I almost laugh till I cried… The Arrogant Americans had done it again!! I am sure that Buzz is not very pleased with us either… for it was his time burned to fix our political blunder. But from our perspective it was just one more part to add to a great memory! HaHa! All have to say is.... "I'd do it again!" I hope you all find the humor in this that we did.....

    first come to water holes?

Seriously,Pal.... first one sitting that blind or treestand on a waterhole is the one hunting it... Water holes in AZ are a comodity so the first one with thier butt in possition on a hunting day wins.... Tree stands in a funnel, on a trail, or on a lick.... now that is, IMO, where I will walk the other way and find my own spot. Below are two threads that I have posted in the past that will give you some perspective on the waterhole issue. Good Hunting. http://forums.coueswhitetail.com/forums/in...c=13698&hl= http://forums.coueswhitetail.com/forums/in...c=10035&hl=

3 1/2 weeks in Zimbabwe.... I made it back!

Thanks all. Watching that clip still gives me chills.... I can't wait till the video is done... all HD... and some of the action scenes will be replayed in slow motion....Eric (Payson Outfitters) is now done separating and formating the raw footage and now the work of putting is all together begins. He tells me that we did better than I had hoped and about half of the footage is "good stuff"... so that should make for a Great final cut!
