Here is a link to a hunt from last year... A deer of this calibur or better would be what you hope for in your unit. Good hunting. If you need any help feel free to shoot me a PM. http://forums.coueswhitetail.com/forums/in...=16672&st=0 -

Nice thing about metal... it cuts and re-welds! -
I'd bet... I am not the only guy that has learned the unit the hard way, who is Grumbling at this post.... Amazing! Any of you have some GPS cords to give out to every Person who Google's the words "unit 6a" LMAO!! Better yet... I could post pics of my maps with all the really good coues spots I have found, Top to Bottom (litterally) on them with the glassing points maked???? I have a concept for you all... it is called PM or "Personal Message"... a very nice way to help one guy, if you want. Other wise here is a thread I started mocking the exact thing you all are doing....again...Amazing. http://forums.coueswhitetail.com/forums/in...mp;#entry208945 Courtesy Fellas.... you guys ain't the only ones who have ever hunted 6a... or learned about it.. or plan to hunt it again. For the record, I have been to every place mentioned... but rarely hunt them... so my rant is more in support of the guys that do hunt there often. WISE UP!

For me right now it is all Hoyt... it was Mathews but they have slipped and Hoyt has been gaining... the tides have turned. In the future... someone else may step it up... but I have not enjoyed shooting as much as I do now... for about 10 years. Thanks to my Maxxis 35!

I've got a buddy who has been working up there since day one on a crew that is trying to "stabilize some of the mountain areas above.... he says they are fighting a loosing battle with all the rain.... and are also in harms way as they work.... not pretty up there. Thoughts and Prayers.

question on how to best preserve meat in the field
Coues 'n' Sheep replied to JLW's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Good Stuff... Also worth mentioning is as you are boning out meat try to find cool shaded (clean) rocks to lay your boned meat on.... open the meat up flat as possible to alow as much heat out as possible. The best place to butcher a deer is in the very bottom of a shaded canyon (if available)... always about 10+ degrees cooler there... that all will hep stretch your window.... I'll even flip the meat on the rocks if they are really cool in the early morning... seems to work. -
Not to sound like a jerk... cuz that is not what I am meaning to do...... however, why put in for the BEST archery draw unit in the state, not to mention one of only two "safari grade" mulie units in the state, if all you were looking for was a "good" buck??? There is Tons of opportunity hunts out there.... Primo tags should go to guys with Primo expectations....IMHO.... To do a strip tag justice you can spend a ton of $$$ on gas, mobilization, time off work, etc., etc..... or you can pay someone to handle the logistics and just simply enjoy the hunt.... It takes me 5 1/2 to 6 hours to drive up to 13B (plus drive time within the unit) .... too properly scout that for myself, I'd have my wife more pissed off than if I just cut a check and paid for it for a year (or two)... There are some Primo guys that only hunt that stuff... whatever they charge is worth it... put it on credit... you won't regret it!

I know where too look.

Thanks Heather!

John, Sounds like the rest needs to move left or right..... If you can get it dialed in yourself, take it in and have it tuned.
