    More Spring Cleaning....

Hey all I have bee cleaning in the yard and organizing my stuff beings the weather was so nice...Come to find out i got a lotta stuff! Here are a few items that I'd like to sell. If you know anyone interested please post here. Thanks. First I have a Jim White head(Which I might regret selling) and it has 3 plates. I have only had this head since July so it is in good shape and works great. I'd like $225 for all of it. Here is a pic that shows a couple of blemishes in the anodizing... I'd call it normal uses wear. Next is a couple dirt bike stands all aluminum with rubber tops... These are very used but still work great. $25 each. This headache rack was on my F-250 Long bed (8') it has a few scratches in the paint but is "ding" free. It was is a Victor Bilt rack and was $1200 new.. i bought it from Victor off his personal truck so am second owner. Never owned a stronger headache rack, but have a flatbed on the truck now. Asking $300 This JobBox is an "in-bed" box that bolts to the bed of the truck and sits about top of bed rails on a fullsize truck bed. It is the best truck box I have ever owned but as I mentioned only have flatbeds on my trucks now. This box new is over $500 and I am asking $225. Here is a pic of the rack and the box in my truck before the bed came off. Thanks for looking... please feel free to post any questions.

AZGF will be back in to lawmaking in 2011

Yes and last year they let two guys go on a "we were flying for water sources, and saw no animals." defense... so that door is now wide open.

AZGF will be back in to lawmaking in 2011

Mr. Wakeling, Thank you for posting on this thread. It sheds light on anouther part of the issue that I have concerns about. You see for me personally at this moment as a younger, very able bodied hunter I really don't care if they pass the proposed rule. I have hunted with many different weapons and used many different methods to legally take game and loosing just one of them really is not a big deal to me right at this moment. However someday when my knees & shoulders are shot (and they will be) I will need every advantage I can get to harvest game. And although today you all will only ask to ban certain forms of "Bait", by your own admision this rule (if passed),this rule by law must be "reviewed" every 5 years in order to remain in effect. During the review process it can also be "amended" and this is a rule that can always be “added to”, if the AZGF deems that other hunters' "advantages" are affecting their objectives. Once this door is cracked open and it will swing wide, the special interest groups will be first in line with "Amended Additions" to this rule. For the youthful hunters taking one thing at a time does not affect them, for we all have our arrogant opinions of what "real hunting is"... and we will stand by that. But for parents who want to nurture a hunting heritage in their children every advantage they can get is great, for they are competing against X-Box and Wii. For the Elderly and Disabled they could use any help they can get to have any opportunity at all. By your own admission we are threatening ALL advances in method and technology with a rule like this because it can and likely will be “Amended every 5 years”… in Government terms that means “Added to” because the Government never gets smaller and never reduces laws. I ask all my fellow hunters....What personal choices do you make in your hunting that they may want to attack next? It does not matter if you hate all "Baits", or some of them, or support them all... we all must stand together against infringement, or divide and conquer will be the fate of hunting as we know it. Thank you all for you input here. If you are against this proposed rule please post here and show AZGF that there is a voice of hunters that must be heard.

AZGF will be back in to lawmaking in 2011

Thanks... for showing support and unity on this guys. I heard yesterday again from a different source that as soon as the Governor lifts the moratorium on law making that they will have their final wording on this new rule complete and ready to pound it through... they almost make it sound as though they will "rush" it through if they can... They know there is much opposition to this bill and are looking for a rubber stamp... Please stay informed and let’s make a showing in the rule making process, and lets state that we see them slowly pushing their agendas and that we don't want more laws! Thanks!

    coues width?

IMO... one of the largest mistakes on judgeing a coues is width... the ears are almost never straight out... most likely straight forward and their ears are rarely over 15" wide. A taxy can really screw up a mount if he does the ears wrong and can really make a buck look small by making the ears too long. However in the field, if a buck is "as wide as his ears" in is most likely under 14 inches wide (inside spread)... and you have to see the inside of the beams out passed his ears to get 16" or beyond. Just my $.02...

AZGF will be back in to lawmaking in 2011

You are absolutly correct! But then chasing around the other 10% will take up some time... Not to mention that for some, it will be a great way to "eliminate the competition"... Got to many guys in your spot? How about dumping a banned substance under their treestand or infront of their ground blind... then contacting the WM? Another waste of time and resource... it is a Bloody wreck, and for what? For the record... From time to time I run across a Slob hunter that makes me want to push to support this law! However... then I realize that with the Federal laws already in place, if AZGF would inforce them it would be a non-issue. Lets just manage and enforce what we have... Why do we need more laws all the time??

    Another monster coues on camera

That really sucks about the camera... that area gets lots of stolen cams, treestands, blinds, etc... I build boxes for all my cams... I might even have an extra box or two that fits Moultrees... I can look. Great buck! 16 days? Where were you? I know the genetic... HaHa... I can go find him if you aren't gunna chase him!

Good Trail Cam for Reasonable Cost

The Coverts that Amanda sells here in the CW.com store are the best I've found and what they save you in a year in Batteries pays for the cost of buying a little better camera... I have 2 of the wild views and am going to give them away cuz I get mad at the qulity every time I use them after owning the Coverts.... Plus the small size of the Coverts makes them harder to see if you place them well and when I build my "bear boxes" for them they are also smaller and less weight. I'll never go back to the larger, heavier cameras.
