God Bless Public Land AZ!!! I am soo glad to know what I am looking for! When I find a buck like that one...and put him on the ground.... then I will have completed my Bucket List!! -
Hey Gino, Thanks for the reply, the more I look into this, the more I want one. I am still wondering if my old 2001 1/2 ton Chevy can handle it....I am planning on getting a "new" truck in a couple of years (new to me...not brand new) so what ever I get I will make it a point to put on my new truck (will be a 3/4 ton)... if bags and new tires are also needed I can do that...what tires are you running? Pro comp? I am in a catch 22. Got and Ranger, but cannot tow my pop-up and my ranger at the same time. If I get a toyhauler, then I need a new truck to pull the toyhauler....and I am in for $$$ Yeah the Pro Comps are good... but they are coming off because they don't handle the weight... time for 10 plys... I don't know if you can beef that 1/2 ton enough but with bags and or adda-leafs...maybe. Toy-haulers SUCK... too heavy and they don't fit a Ranger anyhow... You are barking up the right tree...IMO... might have some improvising to do tho... Good luck man!

Hey Gang, just as we all sit around twittling our thumbs waiting for the deer rusults, I thought you might want to check out some Horn Porn... The Chasin A Dream Outfitters Archery Pro Shop and Guide Service Facebook page now has albums showing some of the Great deer hunts that Jeremy and I have been a part of over the last few years. And I know Kristy and Jeremy are digging up more pics to add to the Album so keep checking back. Also there is a new album on Shed hunting...bring your Your Sheds into the shop and Jeremy will post pics of you with your best sheds in the album!

Thanks! We are praying for tags!!! Anyone know when the results will be out??? -
I bought a pretty rough 9' long bed off Craigs List last year for $600 after a bit of dickering... I then bought some underbody boxes on line made by a company called "Buyers".. they are decent and the cheapest I could find... did some custome dove tails so i can still pull a gooseneck and built siderails that double as ramps and mounted it... got about $1,200 in the whole deal. FYI... you will need airbags and load range E tires if you plan to haul a ranger on a single wheel truck... or go really slow...the corners will drag you across the line if you are not careful.

Coues 'n' Sheep replied to Jo Hunter's topic in Elk Hunting
....tired eyes, sore feet, dirt mattresses, flat tires, and lots of fuel... best of luck and enjoy the hunt. -
A) They are the government... they make up their rules as they go along.... B ) Just cuz you can't get your rig to your elk does not mean you can't get it out... God gave us backs and legs... if you don't wanna pack it... don't shoot it. C) If you really wanna be mad at someone...(and yes I get very mad when Big government takes more of my freedoms)...then call out the abusers when you see them... call out those who leave trash all over... call out those who drive cross country for no other reason than being lazy... These Jack Wagons ruin it for everyone... and they think they are entitled to what every they please. D) While your at it teach your kids, and any kids you can, to be better stewards of our wildlands. Just Sayin'....

Yeah Jeff I know guys that have had success with it... but it can be hit & miss depending on the water situation... Good Luck! It is always fun sitting and waiting on water.. you just never know what might come to drink.
