Sir, I respect your oppinion, and have no idea where you hale from... however here in AZ we could have a "Witch hunt" for lions and not put a dent in them. One of my buddy's since childhood is a top houndsman in this state and some would say that he has killed every worthy cat within 10 miles of his house and yet we still get Big mature toms on trail cam in that 10 mile radius of his house... He and his hunting partner killed like 24 cats last year for clients and under ADBSS & ADA contracts across the state... bet they do it again this year. We ran a cat that we had just killed a Coues fawn 2 weeks ago but lost the trail in the bears... that cat went right back to hunting after finishing less than 1/3 of the kill, we trailed it for 5 miles zig-zagging through prime coues habitat where I have picked up lion kills in the past. I spoke to a veteran lion hunter recently about this cat we chased going right back to hunting and he told me the most fresh deer kills he ever trailed over to catch one cat was 4... 4 deer in one week killed by one cat? Guess it could be called "feast or famine"?? Good antelope hunters kill coyotes... Good Deer and Sheep hunters kill lions... atleast here in AZ. Way to go David!

Awesome bucks! Congrats! -
As long as it aint some Dumb Arse Lab it will probly be fine... On a serious note I generally don't care for most dogs in camp unless they are proven. My Healer, Zip, is with me where ever I go, scouting, hunting, hiking,camping... so we always have one dog in camp.

I just want to say thanks to all for the kind posts. Jett and Jason are both following the thread and reading all the responses and it only adds to Jett's pride about his awesome hunt. He did not know about the sleeping picture until later and to him it was perfectly acceptable to sleep with such a fine trophy... ...we had to agree. Of all the kids I have had the pleasure of hunting with and around Jett is certainly attop the pile with desire and effort... he is well on his way to becoming a Fine Hunter! Next on his plate is his first archery cow elk hunt, this Nov. And let me say he is very excited to kick off his second season of archery hunting with such a great opportunity to put meat on the table for his family! Thanks again everyone for kindness!!

Pick an area.. park and glass your way in... spend all morning working in and glassing. 15-60 minutes and then on the next pocket or rise... We ate lunch in camp ot at Jacob's Lake Lodge everyday and brought home a good buck for my Wife last early hunt... It was COLD!!! Best of Luck! Here is a lnk to our Bab trip last year.... http://forums.coueswhitetail.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=21876&st=0&p=228307&fromsearch=1entry228307
