Coues 'n' Sheep replied to Kilimanjaro's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
I love camping in the big meadow parks near Big Lake this time of year...... there are still a few sheds laying around if you look, and some good Yote hunting as well!! We have found the fishing at Reservation lake to be very good.... There are some monsters in there! Good luck and have a great time!! -

Thanks everyone.... I know you guys have all been there, too. I am glad that he went the way he did, and kinda relieved that he is gone...... I was expecting him to go to the Happy Hunting Grounds for some time, he had a great last 12 months, but a really rough 12 months before that. He was a Bad A$$ dog and I am glad that he was mine, but all good things come to an end. That dog saw a lot of miles in his life... he was not wasted in some back yard... And he was one helluva conversational piece! Thanks again, for remembering my ol' Boy with me. RIP old friend....... -
Wow! Those are great pics!!!! I love that kind of stuff! Thanks for sharing, Amanda!!

Coming from you...... I think that is the highest compliment I can get! -
At one time I thought that it had an unlimited file space when you uploaded an attachment.... I wonder if it is the software in my computer not allowing me to download more than 100 KB now??? This kind of stuff always confuses me??

That is really cool Amanda! Thanks for sharing it. -
I have been gone a while but, I have had to resize every attachment that I have posted these past couple of days. I also noticed that the attachment size limit went from 1G to 100KB.

Well..... I lost my Gunner Dog to old age this last month.... ..... and I even had to shed a few tears. He took his morning nap out in the dirt spot and never woke up. That morning I left for work and he was stand there looking god awful sad at me.... and I said to him, " Your lookin' awfully dang pittiful this mornin' old Fella...." and drove away.... he was layin' in the exact spot he was standin' when I stopped by for lunch.... he musta passed minutes after he lay down to nap.... So.... the living Legend, Sir Balls Allot is no longer and I will miss him. (Anyone who missed pics of him can find them in this post starting on page 1.) -

I just built this "Bear Proof" and Human Proof contraption for my $99 Moultree Cam. It took me about 45 minutes to build and weighs about 6 lbs.... Gunna lag into the tree from the inside of box, I think that should keep it from being knocked around or being stollen. Hope it works..... I'm trying to get it back out to my spot this weekend.... don't know if I'll make it. -
You just need to use your opics more, Mike...... Bah HaHaHaHaHa!!!!!
-
You boys still have not figured it out With age comes wisdom. And one word will sum it up. OPTICS Gotcha covered... old guy.... You need to borrow some..... I have lots of optics....

I'm sure you did, Tom..... Yeah, I been huntin'..... Huntin' money, so as I can hunt all winter!!! I think they call it workin' your A$$ off!!! Gunna try to be on more again..... just hard this time of year to sit infront of the computer..... Another 4-6 weeks of nose to the grind stone and I'll have a little breathing room.... Good luck on the late draw Tom...... Hope you put in for the right units this time.... -
I get too many tags?????????????????????? If I'm not mistaken...... As a family of five Your Houshold draws no less than 8-10 permits a year and average more like 13-14 tags!!!! Shuta!!!!! or better yet..... SHUUUUUUUUUUUSH Lucky SOB!!! I think that having a Best Bud, like you, makes my back hurt.... always carrin' your A$$... ... I happen to think that the AZGF will recognize my efforts of supporting disadvantaged hunters with a Rocky tag .....
-
Deer tag????? I'm thinkin' ya'll are gunna be tired of hearin' about my SHEEP TAG..... cuz I'm due!!!! You heard it here first!!!! Ol' CnS is going sheep huntin'..... again!!!!! Well.... ya can't blame a guy for thinkin' possitive.......

Its a no-brainer...... use Clay!!!! Signature is really, really good a building back broken antlers...... and that is about it. One of my huntin' partners lives up that-a-way and took his archery Coues over there... what a joke!.... He took it back and had Steve rework the ears, but I still want to Puke evey time I see how badly they hacked that beautiful buck! If you want see some of Signatures elk work go to Cabela's.... you will know which ones are theirs because every frickin' one looks just like the cow on this post.... I mean the faces.... all the features are the same.... no creativity... NONE. Not to mention he is not well liked in the Payson area.... wonder why he left such a pretty town in such a hurry.... Just my $.02..... and officially, I made everything I just posed up....as a practical joke.... no harm intended....HaHa. See now we can all laugh together......

Yours is packin' a few more lbs, Mike...... But, I do think my lil' buggar will make it.... there is some feed in the area to hold through till the pears and accorns ripen, I think... I hope.... Kinda wierd... yours still has his mama with him and mine seems to be alone.... might be part of why he is a bit thinner??? Well, Troy and I are going back in a week or two to reinstall the cam and hopefully we can watch him through the summer and make it to the fall. -

Bla Bla Bla..... Can't stand spending my money there!! They do have the best tri-pod head though....I frickin' love that thing...... and I got about $500.00 bucks wrapped up in it, too! If you figure out what that Alum. in the head, parts, and shoes costs per ounce..... it's worth more than Gold!!! Anyhow..... I like SW and Cabela's and Bass Pro.... and Home Depot... and Wal-Mart.... and many other places, but Stupid People are everywhere. You just can't fix Stupid!!! Lark is right..... to a point... and deserves to vent. Every big chain store in the USA has probably got 3:1 ratio of dumb people to smart ones...... why...... because, no one wants to work at being good at what they do anymore!! I don't frickin' care if you flip burgers, mow grass, fix cars, build houses, guide hunters, sell stuff, or are some fancy A$$ business man..... have pride in what you do and do your BEST to be the Best at what you do!!!!!!! That in a nut shell is the problem..... most are there for the pay check, not the job satisfaction that goes with a paycheck...... Just my $.02....
