    Ground blind hunting?

Bucks can be really skiddish around water.... I agree with about 25-30 yds.... any more than that and you might have one jump the string.... I've seen it happen.

    Find the deer

Maybe If you were used to looking through GREAT glass instead of good glass you would be used to telling where the doe is... and ur not even close! Rookie! Funny how the other Leica Duovid owner hadno problem finding the deer! I have NO problem finding the deer in the Swaro pic!!!! Guess you Likka guys are good at making due.... cuz there are about 3 different fuzzy spots in your first post that could be deer. Again.... with Swaros you don't have to guess!!

    Getting excited to hunt!

That is a bad visual..... I almost lost my cookies all over the key board..... Awwk!! Pillow biters!!!!

    Find the deer

Just below those trees in the center.... almost behind that ocotillio. If you had Swaros that pic would be clear enough that we wouldn't have to Guess!!!!

Thanks! I am very happy with Clay's work, and the Cat is one of the very best I have ever seen! The eyes on the deer all look the same in real life.... I think it is shadowing from the camera flash.... the cat looks better than the pic shows as well. The upper buck and the left on are the exact same pose.... left turn vs. right turn.

    Bino Preferance

My son has the 10x50's and loves them.... I bought them for him because I wanted him to have one pair of binos at would do everything..... now I want a pair for Coues deer hunting... ... I think they are better for that cuz everything is almost clearer than real life.

    Yet another Bino question

That is a good question.... The larger the objective lens the better. Period! Example: 10x50 Swaros are WAY brighter and clearer than the 10x42's. As a matter of fact they are clearer and brighter than my Swaro 15x56's because of the higher power.

    CW.com tshirts and other items

I like the Shed Recovery Team idea that is great!! Still not sure if I would wear an orange shirt though..... That is a Grong thing..... Can I have one or two in an earth tone???

    Bino Preferance

Great advice, Manny. I agree 100% I used my 10x42's on a tripod for years before I bought my 15x56's.... and found lots of critters with then. Also might want to look at the Swaro 10x50's they are the best all in one bino that I have seen yet.... supper bright, clear, and you can free hand or tripod.

Clay at Mogollon Taxidermy does an exellent job! He has done all the elk, deer, and the lion in my house and they all great! Clay is awesome to work with, and he is an official B & C scorer which saves a trip to have your trophy scored. He has a first rate opperation and stands behind his work. His coues deer mounts are second to no one! The only other Exceptional taxidermist that I can recommend Chris Harlow in Tucson.... he does my sheep mounts and I have seen nothing but amazing mounts of every type of critter you could think of in his shop! His Sheep, Coues and Mulie mounts are all the best that money can buy.
  17. How will this emminent archery draw affect the hunt dates????? Will you put in for the Jan. archery hunt with the spring hunts..... and also be able to hunt August with the same tag?? The Dec. hunts are history so what is the next move.... Will they try to have spring and fall archery draws??? This thing could turn into a Real Mess..... Archery Draws are a bad idea. Sorry, Tony...... A Harvest Objective still promotes opportunity, while limiting "over harvest with a bow" of any one unit. It works with bear.... there was a ton of hunters in the units and the hunt is over for most of the early seasons.... but the OPPORTUNITY was there for EVERYONE to get out and hunt..... It is a solid method of management IMO.

    Not Coues

Bah HaHaHaHa..... That would be a good game!!!!
  19. Coues 'n' Sheep

    My turn

That sucks!! You guys have got to start locking up your cams.... can't trust people these days. I also like the double cam Idea.....set one way high so that no one can reach it or way low and cover it. Seems like a waste but might help.
  20. I think it is much different with a rifle than a bow. In archery you can use the rule of thumb....90%,70%,50%.... It goes something like this: 30 deg. angle x 90%=shot distance, 45 deg. angle x 70%=shot distance, 60 deg. angle x 50%=shot distance. It does work. I don't think that will work with a gun..... so buy a range finder with a tilt compensator.

4 GB SD card BRAND NEW!

I got this 4 gig card for my new cam and it is to big to work in it! What is worse, is that the Idoit that sold me the cam (which I love!) sold me the card, too. Anyhow, I'd like 2, one gig cards in trade.... or make me an offer..... Thanks, CnS
