We were glassing a canyon on Friday night that had three bulls bugling back and forth... heard cows calling and they had one of the bugling bulls with them... but never got a look at him. We watched a Wicked non-typ bull bugle his way down toward them in the bottom. It's coming.... all the bulls that I have been watching have left there winter grounds for the rutting grounds. Gonna fun real soon!!! Good luck archery bull hunters!!!! Lucky SOB's!!!

I think that three things dictate how bear meat tastes..... 1st: What the bear has been eating all year.... 2nd: How you care for the meat... 3rd: a good recipe! I have a deep pit and I love cooking bear and I love eating it even more! I would be happy to give you my recipe for how to cook it once you get it done. Also, one thing that I do is trim all, or as much as possible, fat from the meat before you freeze it. The meat is plenty greasy without that stuff. Try to leave the meat bone in if you can.... For the doubters.... the I made a large bear ham in the pit with a turkey and an elk roast.... the elk was sandwich meat... .... the turkey was great.... and the bear was soo good that I never had any turkey!! Many of my guests would have never known it was bear and loved it, too.... including my wife... who does not care for bear meat. I ate it cold for lunches while scouting that next week, too!! So don't be afeared..... git that bear!!!

Weatherby's are free bore... no matter what you will never get them to touch the lands.... but they shoot better out of this gun than the Barnes TSX or MRX, or the Nosler Balistic tip. Hope to see how they work on Coues Deer in October... I have had no problem with them jambing... so far.

Well the checks finally came. Got three sheep refund checks too cash.. I'd donate the other two refund checks if they had let us have just one sheep tag .....

I have not used it while hunting, but I have been having clients use it with 100% success standing and sitting. This is my first year using the back support arm.... I have to spend some time with that.... it is suppose to be great once you get use to it.... but I need to try to get comfortable with it before I make up my mind.....

My opening weekend was spent on pins and needles, waiting for Huntn' coues and Mrs HC to make a BBD call.... and that never happened .... But I got out and did a little glassing on Saturday morning and found a Bruiser Buck right in the same saddle that I saw one last year!! I can't wait till October!!! For my drop data I was shooting from a table.... once I get the new turret and have it all tuned up..... Then I will move back to shooting off the sticks. That will be the real, tell.... to see if I can shoot the gun as good as it should be shot..... I thinkt hat my technique is getting better, so hopefully I can keep them tight.

Well, when you put it like that.... ... I'd say that all or most of us would agree that is how we should look at most of the issues of today, no just this one.
