Oh! She is a DOLL!!!!!!! Her name is Shiela! She looks Just like my ol' Gunner dog (RIP buddy)!!! And that must be fate.... I told the guy that I got her from to send me a female with a solid liver head and a Sweet disposition.... and replied that he wanted me to have his personal "pic of the litter" because he knows me..... and the kind of home she will have. My buddy Justin delivered her to me this morning and she already is on her way to being house trained and knows her new name! I am so stoked.... I have missed the ways of a GSP. Thanks for asking Mike.... it is still not too late if you change your mind!!!

I totally disagree.... .... I like the bigger gun for the girls cuz of the knock down power. My wife has taken two good bulls, a Big Coues and a Carp with our 300 Wby mags. And Huntn coues, twin 13 year olds both wacked thier bulls with my 300 wby as well and both said that they loved shooting the gun!! As long as they have a break and a pad they are not bad to shoot! My longrange 300 wby mag. kicks less that my Dad's 243 win. and the lightweight 300 wby that I got from AZoneCam kicks less that my wife's 30-06 and she has quit shooting the 30-06 altogether because she trusts the Wby's more..... BUGELIN.... I think that it is Awesome that your wife likes the big fire power!! My hat's off to her!! Good luck finding the right gun.

After the fabulous run that I had... 3 P&Y bucks three years running (94+, 98+, 108+inchers) it all came to a halt today!!!! My streak is over and DEAD! I hunted more days for deer with a bow in 2007 then all my other archery deer hunts combined!!! Not to mention I ate a Oct. rifle coues tag as well..... . I guess I could have shot A deer but chose not to and BLEW it on a solid 85 incher two days ago..... got blown out at noon today by wind and flatlanders out to hike and play in forstest far-far from the nearest roads!!! But, regardless I am HATING life right now..... Probably the worst deer hunting year of my life has drawn to a close!!! I am hearby casting my evil 2007 deer luck over my shoulder! And tomorrow I will start a new year in a new treestand in a place I have never hunted before and I intend to have the BEST of luck in 2008!!! And I am wishing all of you the very best luck in 2008 as well!! Thanks for reading my rant!! CnS

Nice looking buck! You shouldn't feel bad about how hard your hunt was it has been pretty tough all over the state this season.... rut is firing kinda late in a lot of places. You ought to go back and try it again.... I have one friend that hunts the Rez every year (almost) and loves it.... He took a 120"+ up there a couple of years back.. Those dang Lions are an issue that needs some addressing by the sound of it though.... Congrats on a successful hunt. CnS

easier bulls yes, better bulls possible . 23s has some places that you would be nuts to kill an elk in you would never get it out without a horse. but he would be a biggin Ya or go huntin' with Coosefan in unit 9 and kill a Giant bull that is much easier to get to!!! Plus 10x more big bulls in those other units too. There are lots o' big bulls in 8, 9, 10, 3A-3C, 1, 27..... and way more worthy of trying to harvest a monster bull. IMO. I am sure that Coosy will agree with me when he returns as well.
