Thanks Guys! Yeah, that milage is nothing for a Cummins! I did do a KB value on it and the truck is worth +/- about what I am asking and I have about $3500-$4000 wrapped up in the bed, boxes, & airbag setup.... plus throwing in the sets of wheels & tires. It is a great deal for someone out there..... And Jimbo..... ..... You said you would never tell!!! Atleast you didn't mention the 500 lb. Moultree feeder or the food plot that is right next to that salt and treestand .......

    Sitka Gear

I am more interested in how it dries..... how it wears/ stretches when you move, etc. I never have bought into that "sent free" BS.... Unless you hunt within a Ziplock bak you are NOT sent free!!! LOL! I can't breath!!!

    Taxidermist Help

Congrats to your son on a GREAT shot and on his first big/small game!!!! If you get buyers remorse when you start shopping the prices of a full body mount, you may want to consider just having it tanned with the claws on. Then your boy can hang it anywhere he wants. We did that with my boy's first archery Yote and it still hangs in our living room today. Just a thought.... Taxi's are getting soooo Pricey!!! Congrats again to you and your boy on a successful hunt!! Gotta love getting the kids affield! CnS

    fall-away rests

Hey Jeff, You will like the fall-away rests..... I think that there are several that are good. I had a Shaky Hunter and liked it but it was a bit noisy..IMO (when I say noisy.... the guys say my imagination). So I replaced it with the Mathews fall-away and Really like everything about that rest (I have 2 of them and they are consistant). I have always wanted to try the Drop Zone, but never wanted to unload the cash for something I didn't need at the moment. Good Luck.... lots of options! G

    SCI scoring

Well it is kinda like this...... It is one of the largest N/T Coues Deer EVER harvested with a bow and my buddy kinda thought that a buck that big should be recognized in every record book that it qualified for. So it will appear in B&C, P&Y, SCI, and the Arizona books as well.... and I think that is awesome to have a bow kill big enough to hang with all the bangstick bucks! I think a buck that big should be seen and appreciated by all who care to see it. My buddy is not a Glitz & Glamour guy.... but he is gunna grin and bare it because this animal deserves it. And I'm gunna back him the whole way! Otherwise we are way not good enough for that SCI crowd....

Way to go! Congrats to you and your boy!!
  15. Okay..... that kinda nauseated me..... I think those guys have a different definition of the word Conservation in thier Dictionaries than I do. Are people not aware that as long as humans inhabit the earth its ecosystems are impacted by us??? Unless we all live in a glass Bio-dome it can NEVER be like it was before we got here!!!! I think people have too much free time on thier hands to think that crap up and do studies on it!!! And yes, wet mule, that STATIC scares the stuffin' right out of me!!!!! That crap just ruined my day....... thanks....... This is a great time to point out that..... I HATE GREENIES!!!!!! Where is Tony, when you Actually need him and his loud writing????? Help us Mr. Wizard!!!!!

    Long range rifles?

Well said, Tim! There is a lot of personal ethics involved in this style of hunting, just as in All styles/types of hunting. We owe it to the animals we hunt. CnS

salt and feed no more in 2009

I just got off the phone with someone intimately involved with writing the rule, and as of now, SALT is still included in it just like any other substance -- "placed for the purpose of hunting or taking any big game." That said, the final wording is far from conclusive yet since it will go through a couple of different reviews by various internal mechanisms before it reaches the form for public input and eventual presentation to the commission. -TONY Tony, I am not arguing your source or that your source is higher up the ladder than mine. However, there are 4 people writing this new rule and they are not done yet and they, at this time, have no intention of incuding salt for a couple of reasons.... First: it occurs natually all over the state as well as everywhere cattle graze. Second: they do not believe that it "alters" the daily habits of game animals.... or cause them to change thier travel patterns. They believe that food type "baits" do alter the natural travel patterns and therefore increasing success and leading to the "need" for a new rule. From my understanding they will make the final wording so that their are NO loop holes. I am quite certain that if this rule does not reduce the harvest numbers ans they think it will..... they will find something else help to reduce success and then something else... until the numbers are where they want them...IMO. SCI scoring

No..... It Cleany Smoked pasted the current SCI N\T Archery Coues #1 even with the scoring job they did. I just think that they did not take what they were doing as serious as they should. Their mind set was about like that of a bunch of guys around the campfire "throwing a quick tape".... They for got that what they were doing could be "Perminent", thank God we were aware.... and that he can get the re-measure. The more I think of their attitude about it, the more it bugs me. If they did this, to this buck, how many other trophies "officially measured" by these guys were "subjective" or "evened out"??? What a Joke.... Thanks for all the support everyone, and I know it means even more to Jeremy. We will see you all on Sunday at the ISE with the rack in hand. Jeremy threatened me with having to carry that canvas bag half the time.... .... I ain't Skeert! CnS

salt and feed no more in 2009

Bull poop. 150 archery kills in ONE UNIT? What was that Mark Twain said about statistics? That is what the man said.... 150 and that would be up from about 90 in 2006 if I'm not mistaken!
