    Monster coues bucks

That is a helluva buck, Dan! Thanks again for sharing him with us all. I feel very fortunate to have held more racks over 120" than I can count on both hands, and a few of them were over that 130" mark..... it is truely humbling. I know one thing...... When you do glass or see a true monster (over 120") if you don't start trembling all over you don't know what your lookin' at!!! Cuz, I go to peices, shakin'! I Love Big Racks!!!!!

    Video camera's for sale!

I'd love to have the VX2100... but not in the budget for me right now..... BTW..... Congrats on your article in Huntn' Fool! Great story and a great buck, too! It was cool to read about people that you know of in a national magazine. I was glad that they used a small blurry picture of me in Eric's article.... a large pic of my mug in there would have ruined the whole dang magazine!!!! Anyhow..... Congrats.

    Bighorn

You might want to point out to your grandpa, that 46a is a young man's game..... that is one of, if not the toughest hunts in the state. Just an FYI..... if he knows what he is up against then, good for him, and good luck.... but putting in for that should not be done without some fore-thought... just my $0.02....... Um.... and you all you Rocky guys.....there are no more rocky rams left in AZ!!!!! ...... And a new state record was killed out of Foote Cr. last year.... in case you did not know that! They already promised me a Rocky tag.... but are having a hard time getting it to me.....

    group size

Try shooting at a smaller traget. I like to make dime sized dots on the target bag and shoot at those... it makes me concentrait more....if that does not help then maybe a week off will help. Your geear is good so it is probably the "nut behind the string".... Best of luck.

    yesterday's treasures

Congrats what a deer! Good P/U heads are hard to come by. It sure is nice when you find them with no hair on them so as they are legal to pack out of the woods! Congrats on a great find!

    Early season archery coues tips?

Keep it simple...... sit where you know deer will pass and leave all the fancy stuff at home.... Coues are much easier to kill with a bow if they have no idea that anything (or anyone) is around. If you are not seeing deer then you are not in the right spot! Sometimes a move of 70 yds can shift you from no deer to lots-o-deer. FYI.... I wouldn't bother playing with products like C'mere Deer.... all that stuff will be illegal to use by Jan.2009. Start your learning curve and be patient. Sit your tank in the saddle till a buck(s) comes in, "aim small, miss small", ground check a buck, and learn from it..... just that simple. Oh and keep your shots under 30 yds if at all possible... they will jump the string on water, badly.

    Early season archery coues tips?

Stick to spots you have faith in..... put in the time (lots of time), use a ground blind if you have a hard time sitting Motionless, and take a small paperback novel. That is all you will get out of me.... .... No one taught me how to hunt these deer or gave me hints. I educated myself and made plenty of mistakes. Get out there and learn the hard way.... the reward is much greater! Good luck!

BTW..... you just posted almost 12 MGs of pictures on here...... you are gobbling up Amanda's web space..... gotta reduce those pics!
  19. DB.... your new little sign is scaring me NOW!!!!!
  20. We are headed to Rocky Point on our annual 4 day trip on June 8th. Has anyone been down there lately??? I am going anyway, just currious..... have never had a problem in the past and don't expect any now. Also, is a birth certificate and a Drivers Lic. still enough to get you in and out?? Thanks, in advance.

    Three-bar deer capture

Man, that is cool..... Thanks for posting Amanda! I am sure that Predation is a key factor in those mortality rates.... No trapping of the Coyotes & Bob-kitties, and the ever prolific lions combine to be tuff gauntlet for those fawns to run!
