Hey all... Can't say enough about Clay's work! The double coues pedestal in pic #5 is one of a dozen mounts that Clay has put in our home. That mount is a Dec rifle coues my wife took and my Arrchery coues that I took 3 weeks later in Jan.... we have many memories imortalized on our walls thanks to Clay's good work.... You can find cheaper, but you will not get Clay's kind of work for less money! I would feel bad if I did not honor our trophies with quality artistry... and it does allow the memories to be as vivid when the mount does not look alive or real on the wall. Thanks Clay! BTW.... Clay I know you are a "lurker" and will read what I just wrote.... you know I meant it.... but I do need a 10% (or 25%) Coupon... cuz Colton just shot a Monster coues in NM!

dang, Scotty...... All that I can say is " Sorry".... but that doesn't express my thoughts or my real feelings.... words can't do or say enough. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in this time of need.

My boy is headed to NM in the Morning.... hope he smokes a Biggun'!!!!

Were you able get right above that hole that bull fell in? I am sure that pics do not show off how bad it was. Bummer deal... It is every sheep hunters nightmare to have a ram fall in a bad spot that cannot be reached. A couple of years ago I was guiding a sheep hunt in 15D and heard that one of the other hunters had to get AZGF and some repelling help to retreive his ram. I assume you had the unit WM involved in your decision to not recover the animal. Sorry it turned out that way....

Nice! Details?

My advice...... Keep the bino's.... sell the wife! Well.... it could work.....

Glad to see you joined up Cody... Now Bittner can give you crap like he does me... Congrats again!
-
Congrats on your successful hunt!

Heck yeah... that is a fair deal. I'd sell my 15x56 for $1600, but not a penny less.

Red Rabbit or The Professor
Coues 'n' Sheep replied to SunDevil's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
JOSH would have to be Gilligan, tall, skinny, ugly hat . . . . oh yes its you Gilligan! HahaHa!!! Now that is soo true!! I voted no, also. Even if he added "Professor" to his name it would be better than changing it.... but we all know Doug is The Man... no need to put any presure on him by making his name more distinguished! -
Congrats! Nice bucks.

Congrats, Cody! He got himself a great Coues... He has been holding out for a long time! Way to go, Man! You gave up a great deer and deer hunting spot there coueschaser3... hope that sends some good karma your way sometime! Congrats to all.

Dang! What a bummer! Just currious.... looks like you got all the way to the bull... couldn't you bone him out just as he was hangin' there and recover him one chunk o' meat at a time? I was not there and camera angles do not show it all so that is why I'm askin'..... I've boned out bulls on canyons so steep that you had to rope them off to work on them.... that one was already hangin'! Again... just askin'.... not tryin' to stir anything up....

Dang! I missed this thread!!! Congrats, Brat!!!!!! You did a Great job!!! I'm proud of you.... and the ol' man too!!

TLO "RIB ROLL"
Coues 'n' Sheep replied to Lance's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
It is part of the gutless method.... the part that is often overlooked. It is not an overwelming amount of meat on the "rib roll but.... waste not, want not! Great post Lance! A good chunk of grind meat per side if done right, like you have it in the pic. -
Way to go, Lil' Red!!! Great buck! Congrats!!
-
Dandy for sure.... Congrats!

Preasure washer will work... other wise.... soak it in the sink with soapy water use a jet nosle for the garden hose to rinse it clean.
