22-250 is plenty enough gun for lots of game not just deer... it is smokin' good on speedgoats and pigs.... I wouldn't use one on elk unless I had to, but I know guys that do... The olny reason I quit using my 22-250 for coues was wind drift... at 300 yds and in, that is not an issue and it packs a helluva wallop on game.... the kids and wives love shooting them. Just thought I'd through that out there to stir the pot!

Well my Boy returned home from NM with his largest buck to date! At 20 years old, this is his 8th coues buck... and he has been trying so hard to break 100". They taped the buck at camp a whopping 113 5/8" gross and he is as typical as they come! I'd say he got it done! I'm so Proud!

That is just what I was expecting to hear You know how my wife loves dead stuff... if it was up to her the mounts would be litterally wall to wall! However with the rate that we kill coues deer , and the fact that I am so young with so many seasons ahead of me , and the cost of a good coues mount these days , I am under orders to beat my 108"er before I mount another. ... and I Love Euro's!!

Man it is tough... I have read them all and just can't come up with one that is better... They are all great!! Congrats to everyone on great stories!

Doug... I won't hold that against you! That "W" thing is an aquired taste! However..... the "S" is a much Safer bet! H6, Thanks! I made myself laugh too!! It was meant that way..... I love the bird stuff too but just don't have time for it..... Big Game is my life. My Dad on the other hand... ... has sworn off big game for the birds, so we never spend much time together..... and yes I am bitter about that!

I'm thinkin' $125-$150 is probably more what you are gunna have to offer to find a good cape.... .... Try Mogollon Taxidermy.... or your local taxidermist.

Colton's B&C buck will be mounted by Clay @ Mogollon Taxidermy... just as all our deer have. For the record, I have never hunted NM and was not there when Colton took this buck..... All the Credit goes to him and his NM hunting partner.... Who happens to be Lurker here... if he wants to be mentioned he has got to become a member! Jim... Jason and I both have bigger bucks on the wall....
