Where are yall meeting, my wife is gonna be out of town, I would love to run up on the weekend of 19th and 20th to lend a hand, Just point the way and give me a time and I will drive up from Wickenburg R L

I have a alaknak 12x12 it will take a wood stove. It will sleep 6 real compy and 8 if need be and still keep the stove in, I used it in Colorado last year with 2 ft of snow on the ground it kept us dry and warm, the only big draw back is it can be put up with only one person but its a challange the first time. now it take me and my wife about 10 mins to set up, but we have had lots of practice since we bought it in 03. I like it a little better than the big horn for 2 reasons, 1. the stove goes up thru the roof, where as the big horn it goes out the side wall then the stove pipe turns and goes up. 2nd it has a center pole I have taken small L shaped brackets and some hose clamps and put on the center pole to hang coats wet clothes or a lantern from. my brother has a canvas wall tent, its heavy, and thats another reason I went with the alaknak with the tent, poles, stakes, and ropes it only weights about 100 pounds, some wall tents weigh that much before you add the poles and stakes. I just bought two Stealth cam DIGRC-XTRV. Cams off ebay. cabelas sells them for 299.00 bucks I got both for 190.00. I put them out last nite and will check them thursday evening. they both workd great in the back yard when I was testing them out, they will also do 10 sec video clips. and will take up to a 256mb card. R L

Now your telling me I need to learn how to budget my money! NR license-$133.50 NR deer-$130.50 NR elk-$405.00 NR lope-$330.00 NR sheep-$1005.00 Total NR fees=$2004.00 I don't know to many people like me( married, two young boys, mortgage, etc.) that have that much cash lying around that they can just send it to the G&F for a few months. It will get even worse with the proposed fee increases. It would be a shame if my boys never get to hunt the awesome state of AZ. The online apps. are the only way we can afford to apply in AZ. Ok well lets see 2004.00 devided by 52 weeks is 38.53 a week, do like I do start savin now. I have a seprate savings account, I add a little money here and a little money there, I started doing this 20 years ago, so I would have money to put in for hunts here in az. If I did not draw a tag I put that money back in the savings accont. That is how you can afford to pay now. I wish they would go back to the Pay up front. and paper apps R L

Well all I am going to say, is I dont think it matters how many or how many you dont have. This year I put in for Unit 7 first choice 14 B P for antelope, I did not draw, but I do know two Guys who put in for unit 7 with 0, zero, nada B P and drew there first goat tag, I am going to NM or Wy next year to get my goat. good luck to all who drew, R L

Well after reading what michael wrote, I just felt compelled to call G&F and Say thanks to the ladys who answer the Phones, and to tell them not all hunters are like the ones giving them problems after all they are not in charge of the Draw or the mess that is going on, I did not ask when the resualts would be out, but the operator offerd some words of encourgment, when she ask if I had put in I told her that it looks like only deer for us this year, she told me not to give up hope for a elk or antelope tag just yet because it was not complete yet, and said hopefully by monday, same answer she gave michael. Well looks like the good the bad and the ugly for me this year The Good looks like we drew deer and this will be my grandsons first hunt. The Bad looks like no elk tags The UGLY I will have 13 bouns pts 1 hunter ed pt and 1 loyalyty pt = 15 points for next years antelope Oh Well Like the Chicago Cubs Say "Theres always next Year"

Two things here, The 5.00 app fee is going up to 7.50 next year. second, I am an az native have live all of my live here with the exception of a 10 year stint in the army from 1982 to 1992, I started putting in for antelope in 92 and have not missed a year, and still have not drawn a tag. But during that same time frame I have had 3 muzzle loader bull tags and 7 muzzle loader cow tags, and have always had a muzzle loader deer tag, I can draw an elk or deer tag but that dang old lope tag just eludes me bad, I would gladly switch luck with anyone, I just want to get one good lope for the wall then I would not put in again, as far as the elk go I put Bull first choice then cow the next 4 choices, (I like the meat)

I dont post very much here, but I have to agree on this one, it brings to mind these words LACK OF PREPERATION ON YOUR PART, SHOULD NOT CONSTITUTE LESS DRAW ODDS ON MY PART every year they extend it because so many People wait till the last sec to apply they over run the sys and it shuts down or has some sort of problem. Why should the ones who did not wait till the last sec get penelized, if it eneded when it was suppose to less ppl would have put in making the odds a little better.

According to Game and Fish, the directeive was issued and you can carry a non hunting handgun for protecion, when I ask G&F what the stips were, This is the answer I got, It cannot have a barrel over 6 inches and cannot have a scope or any other sight sys that will magnify.
