    Any experience with Scarpa boots?

I have ran Scarpa Liskamns built great like most European boots, but they all run too narrow for my feet. After trying about every mountaineering boot except kenetrek, nothing has fit me better then Crispis and are the most comfy boots ever worn. I put 4 years on the Kanada between working and hunting, still have another year or so left in them. I have the Nevada, and Gran pardiso. spelling? Great boots, all I will now. I ran 2 different cabelas mendl and prefer Crispis hands down. Great boots and packs are a must
  4. Maybe you should be thankful there are trophy hunters, how do you think you get big bulls or bucks? I think its called age. I wont take a non mature coues deer, I have taken a buck every year except for this year. We took 3 out of 4, 2 nephews took dandy bucks. Don't give a crap what they score, great bucks Mature deer. If I run into a kid or a women looking to shoot a deer I will be the first one to point them in the direction or help, so I'm a a-hole for being picky? I don't hunt on roads, usually don't see many people where I hunt, numbers are down, seems to be increasing every year, would like my kids to enjoy it like I have.
  5. I agree coyotes are big problem and the big decrease in the number in deer since trapping was outlawed. Anyone know why you can only hunt coyotes at night in certain units? Only thing I can come up with up is the wolf deal. Maybe we can start a bounty on dogs until someone can figure out how to make a coyote trap that will work. If we cant keep the use of hounds for lion hunting legal in the state we're gonna be in big trouble!

    G+F hunter survey

Alaska harvest reports are mandatory and you will receive a nice reminder that you are not eligible for the next season if not completed by the set date. There also needs to be a number adjustment for animals not recovered. Maybe the data needs to be outsourced to a small business that has time to do it correctly?
  7. Jcubed, Do you spend much time in the units I mentioned in the first post? Or just hunt when you draw a tag. Like I said this is not to bash what is happening, trying to find solutions to the decreasing number of game in our state. There are plenty of hunters and non hunters around the Payson area that spend more time in the woods than G&F professionals, that have witnessed a large decrease in mule deer and now elk. Tags have doubled and tripled is some units. I don't have a degree , but I have common sense and can figure a few things out. Keep believing the numbers and tell your kids stories about how good it is.
  8. This post is not to bag on G&F, guides, or hunters, Looking for solutions to a problem we have low numbers. Get hunters more involved on the decisions made with our game. Other states do it. The sheep got hammered by lions, what happened? Bounty on lions, multiple limits, hunting at night, Money and Power gets things done. Yes there has been some great trophy's taken this year. Its always been that way, There is a big gap in between 400" and 300" bulls didn't used to be that way.
  9. I know its gonna be tough to try to change things since they had the taste of the money. Its going to take numbers to come together, its going to take the fellows with money, that know people. We donate our money we can have a say in it. I have heard the main biologist here is from Colorado, and are running their model, maybe someone has some info on that. I agree coues will be the last affected out of the others but flooding with tags and being able to put cameras out the numbers will keep falling with them also.
  10. Don't think there is 900 bulls in 22 N, but they are professionals, Don't question them? The biologist was right on with the count of lions a few years back in our area. If your happy good for you.
  11. That's the problem too many good hunters . I do hunt dogs, should have to kill 5 a year to put in for a tag.
