ANY HITS FOR SHEEP

Make sure your paperwork is right with the ranch. Make absolute certain that your Make model and serial number match your gun permit perfectly, one letter or number off = rejection and you can forget about your rifle. Find someone that specializes in border crossing americans and their weapons. If you do not speak spanish you are at a disadvantage, if you dont know exactly where to find the military base to check your gun with the mexican gov. you are at a disadvantage, if you dont know where to get your Visa you are at a disadvantage. There are bi lingual guys out there and this is all they do cross americans and their guns at the border, find one and pay the man, it will make your experience much smoother. Might cost around $100.

Swarovski 15's and a spotting scope. Carrying a spotting scope can really save a lot of leg work. Your leica's are great glass and a great range finder and I would bring them for that alone but, they are not the best tool for spotting coues 800 + yards out.

Thats really cool! I remember when I got my first camera pictures very exciting. If you really want to get after it set out some trace mineral salt with your camera pointed at it for a couple weeks, you will surely get some pictures! Good luck

i feel the same way about poachers bud so let's have a post that talks about poachers and that doesn't single out a certain person or animal before they are deemed guilty by the actual agencies that know the facts. That's all I was saying. Every year we have these type of posts and there is almost never a conviction involved. Have your generalized opinions of poaching an just wait for the facts on specific cases. Sitting there with a rope in hand before the court decides is lame in my opinion and spiteful. Carry on with negativity about people if you want, isn't that what most people want on here. Go get um tiger WHO IS THIS GUY? Couesmagnet I know who you are and you better believe ill be hunting for pictures of you on the internet now! LOL

1. You need to go to walmart and get an sd card reader. 2. Plug the sd card reader into your computer 3. Slide the sd card into the card reader 4. Go to the Start tab in the lower left hand of your screen scroll to My computer and press that 5. In the my computer page there should be a tab that says romovable disk click that. 6. After clicking the romovable disk tab you should then come to a folder that says DCIM open it and your pictures should be there.

Hate to be a Debby Downer. But if I knew that AZ's moisture level was going to be this low back when I applied, I would have put in for a bonus point. I am praying that I do not draw a tag this year. This is a DROUGHT. If we don't get weather flowing over this state by the end of March it probably wont happen. At that point it will be really rough during the crucial antler growth time. If you do draw don't panic, I am sure there will still be large bulls harvested but, the big bulls harvested this year will be bulls that have unbelievable genetics.

Anyone recognize this tree stand and Camera?
Evinruud replied to Bownut98's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
Put yourself in this situation. What if you were sitting some guys stand and he came walking up. How would you feel. As a man if you feel perfectly fine with that there is something wrong with you and your probably a democrat. -
Anyone recognize this tree stand and Camera?
Evinruud replied to Bownut98's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
This seems to be a losing battle between people that are going the extra mile to try and harvest a trophy and people that simply stumble across a persons work and basically f*#%* them. Many of the people that think hunting someone else's stand don't realize the time money and effort that some of these guys are putting in. There is no way a guy can be at his stand 24/7 so how do you know if its really abandoned. Take down your tree stand every time I'm not hunting? Come on lets be realistic! Leave a note and organize times to sit my spot with another person? While were at it did you want to schedule an appointment with my girlfriend??? You wanna talk about effort on finding animals I for one look for spots and big deer all year long and I put a lot of time, money, worn out boots, and effort into the equation. Call me a prick if you want but, I would lose my shoot if I caught a guy on one of my spots. This simply just comes down to respect in the woods. Here's a thought find your own SPOT and spend your own time money and effort cultivating it, if you think its worth it. Don't take advantage of someone else's hard work. Plant your own tree and pick your own fruit. Tired of this BS -
Im lookin for 400 inchers. Im lookin for 400 inchers. Im lookin for 400 inchers. Im lookin for 400 inchers. Im lookin for 400 inchers. Im lookin for 400 inchers. Wow killing a bull like that, DIY you are a stud, no guide no outfitter awesome ,can I ask what unit you killed it in peope who hire a guide this year should pick an outfitter that can find bulls like yours every year. I hunted with mossback that year in unit 9. I had max points so I made the most of it. Contact chad rhoton for info on hunts 928-853-3952. I guide in New Mexico and Mexico and normally am always self guided. This hunt was the exception. I wanted to make the most of my 14 bonus points it took to draw it. There was no way I would have gathered as much information as they were able to provide. If I went unguided I more than likely would have killed a very nice bull but, after 14 years without a tag I didnt take any chances. Call chad if you have a similar situation. Awesome guy

I feel ya buddy! There is definitely a code that sportsman should follow when it comes to this. Multiple cams on a waterhole is one thing but, for someone to setup shop where you have put a bunch of work into is totally different. I have so much work time trips and money into some of my stands it would be very personal. Like if your going to put a cam on my stand you might as well sleep with my girlfriend while your at it! I know its public but theres a code and I wish people would respect that. The main point of setting up in a spot off the beaten path is to have your own little hunting oasis. What to do in this situation... Do not do anything to his cam! Thats code #1. Rather leave him a friendly note with your number so you can talk to the individual. IF you cant get him out of there I would suggest making your future stands back in areas where you know people wont stumble across them. There are plenty of outstanding areas where you more than likely wont ever get a pick of a hunter on your cam.

Shot this buck in Jan 09. I know its a long time ago but, still thought some people might enjoy
-
That deer would be dead if the arrow hit the opposite shoulder. There is nothing wrong with the placement of that arrow. The only thing I can figure is, they used a blunt or judo point and got no penetration but, even that is hard to believe. Its either photo shopped or taxidermy.

Guided Dave Mount in Mx this year. He was able to make it on short notice and we harvested this buck the third day of his hunt. Scored by an official scorer at 115 6/8 gross

Another nice buck I was able to take in the desert of mexico

I was archery hunting in New mexico and was desperatly trying to kill this buck with 2 very close calls. Wasnt able to get the job done. My dad however had a rifle tag for it in November. I went back up there and after a little looking I was able to turn him back up. Only person better to kill this buck than me is my dad. Good times
