I'll be there Monday. My brother said he showed up a little late tonight. Said any questioning of motives or disagreements was treated very defensively rather than looked at as trying to come up with different ideas. Said the guy that came up with the $2 habitat stamp had the board stumped like they never thought that was a possibility (or they dont want it a possibility) add a $5 stamp or license increase on all licenses and they'll have money coming out of their ears and the tags can be left alone. If they insist on the tags its obvious their one mission is the tags and only the tags. Who was your brother? The habitat stamp idea works. I will say that I don't think that everyone on C&P is in it to get more tags to rich people, but I do believe the rich people have them persuaded. The question asked if I opposed the current raffle / auction model, I don't know that I have ever considered it because it has always existed in my memory. After some thought my question is this, where does it stop? We could certainly raise more money for conservation if we auctioned every tag to the highest bidder but then our model would cease to exist. I do not believe that the integrity of the model is worth sacrificing for any mount of money. I believe there are other ways. Big guy 6'4". I would hope that the guides are paying for the all the advertising. Also in the regulations book which is so cluttered it is hard to find the Regs.

The state should kick in a dedicated amount to the G&F for the work that they have to do for those other groups that are getting a free ride now. For example the endangered species section should be funded entirely by taxpayers.

I don't read as much about "getting around the rules" as much as I am hearing people trying to make this rule something that it isn't. It is not a ban on trail cams. It's not even a ban on using cams for hunting.It is a ban on two very specific things. First, there is now a ban on cameras that relay any real time data. meaning "live". The other is a ban on using cams within 1/4 mile of developed water source for the use of taking game. What it sounds like to me, there are people who don't like the use of trail cams, that want to act stupid and interpret this rule to falsely give permission to mess with somebody else's property. Using, that twisted logic, I should carry a pound of sugar with me to put in gas tanks of ATV's that I find in a place they are not allowed. This post explains very well and then the next posters sound like they did not even read the posts before their post. It appears that there are a lot of thick heads.

There is no way that the Dept has a monetary surplus. If they did why do they pay their most important employees WILDLIFE MANAGERS so poorly? If you heard that there is a monetary surplus then it was by a stuffed shirt in carefree wanting a undeserved raise or buying some bigger chair for them to sit around in.
