I currently own and use a pair of Docter 15x60's that i bought off ebay for $400. I have also looked into replacing the eyecups as mine are in rough shape. I have only found one place that can replace them, and it is in Montana. The eyecups have to be custom fit which means you will have to send them off and wait. I chose to just deal with mine versus sending off the binos. If you want the email address to the place i found let me know and i will be happy to provide it!

There in lies the problem. A majority of the people in this great country have taken the "Ignore it and it will go away" stance on too many things including border security. We ignored the terrorists, they got us, we've ignored the immigrants, they think they have us. What's the solution? I have not a clue but ignoring it will just make it worse. The deployment of troops on the border i think will help slow the flow of UDA's or force them to use more remote areas to pass through. Bottom line, a majority of Americans dont truly understand whats happening so they really dont care and will not hold their congressional reps accountable. Its a sad state of affairs when an Illegal immigrant has equal the rights that i have, and i am here legally.

It most defiantely is a huge problem with no quick fix in sight. I spent alot of time down in 36C last year, particularly the Brown Canyon area and was simply amazed at what i saw. The trails are unbeleivable, the trash is everywhere and i did see alot of UDA's. THe one thing i did notice, on the days when there was visible BP activity in the area, i saw not a single UDA, and on the days i saw no BP, the UDA's were out in force. Now we have "W" preparing to deploy the military along the southern border, very nice, lets stretch the military even thinner than it already is, personally I thinks its just eyewash but i guess we will see.

I'm looking for a tripod adapter for my Docter 15x60's. I would prefer the 2 piece adapter going from the off-center mounting thread to a center hole mounting thread. If anyone knows where i can find one, or knows of another setup that works well please let me know.

For rifle its a Rem 700XCR in .300WSM shooting 165gr Nosler Partition and topped with a VXII 4-12x40AO, Docter 15x60's for the glasses. Just got into the Coues scene and havent invested in a quality pack as of yet nor have i invested in a good tripod as i am having trouble finding a tripod adapter for my Docters. Archery is an 05 PSE Vengeance with a Whisker Biscuit DT QS rest, PSE F-22 sights, Lore stabilizer, PSE Radial X-Weave 29" tipped with Muzzy 100gr 3 Blade broadheads and the same glasses as the rifle set-up.
-
I also shoot muzzy's, 100gr 3 blade and i have not a single complaint about them.
-
Well, i got skunked only had one gobble and that was it. My son and i did manage to catch 14 trout so it wasnt a total loss! Now there is nothing to hunt til Archery season I guess that means i'll have to start knocking things off the Honey-Do list

Well I am heading out bright and early tomorrow morning for my turkey hunt up on Camp Navajo (Bellemont). I have hunted elk there for the past 4 years and have seen the birds during the elk hunts, hopefull i can trick one into bow range or shotgun range. THe one nice thing about Camp Navajo is that there are certain areas of the post that are archery only, so if i cant find one in the common areas, i'll go in the limited ones. ANyhow, wish me luck!

Is anyone else getting the redirect to traff4all.biz, traffdollars.biz, or 1-extreme.biz?
-
I can tell you this about Ft Huachuca, if you are not active military, Guard, or Reserve or retired military you cannot hunt on Ft Huachuca . I know this only because i am active duty military (soon to be retired ) and wanted to put my dad and 2 brothers in with me for a Dec whitetail hunt on Ft Huachuca and could not do it. I have heard from a co-worker who hunted there last December, there is a good population of Coues and some mulies as well.

When the main page is accessed a file named xpl.wmf is downloaded and executed. WMF fiile is a picture file and this particular one is what causes the redirect to the .biz websites that are trying to be accesed when you hit the back button trying to get out of the discussion forum. If the source of the xpl.wmf file on the main page can be found and eliminated, i think you will be ok. WMF files are auto executed in Internet Explorer which gives the user no say in the matter. Good luck!

If you use a different browser, such as mozilla firefox there is no problem and everything works just fine.
-
Well from what i have found, it only affects the discussion forum. It will let you into the forum but once you select an area and try to use the back button, you are done. At this point you have to maneuver back to the main page and go back into the forum. All of the other links from the main page are fine it seems.

I think he just implied that i was gay? WTF?

Well i for one will be embarking in a couple of weeks on my first turkey hunt in Arizona. I got a tag on Camp Navajo in Bellemont. I have hunted Rio Grande's in Texas (and no Lark i wasnt sitting a feeder) and have killed several good gobblers. Lets just hope i can manage to find a bird here in Az.
-
Well this has most definately been fun! There is nothing i like more than playing the devils advocate Sure helps pass the time at work. Lark ya kinda lost me when ya started talkin bout looks and movies, where the heck did that come from?
-
Least he is out there doin something other than bitchin bout it. Speaking of which, do you ever do anything but bitch or complain or put down?
-
Get over the "have to" bit already it was a poor choice of words. And you know, it takes all kinds to make this old world go round a point you obviously have issues with cause they way i'm readin you is that its your way and anyone else who does it differently, is wrong and that my friend is truly sad. Ignorance it seems is truly bliss.
-
Okay Okay, i made and error, i retract the "you have to" bit dont get so dang hung up on the smalll things.
-
Amen! i wish i could have said it myself instead of getting pissed at all the closed minds.
-
Must be nice to have it all figured out.......

What do you think this buck scores?
DotShot replied to Lorona24A's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Yes i was born and raised in kearny, I'm one of the Bushnell boys (James) and went to school with "Topher". Graduated from Ray in 86, joined the military (retiring this year) and am now living in Tucson. -

Hmm, someone actually knows something about Kearny? Seeins my parents were the second family to arrive in Kearny in the 50's its nice to see that people actually know about the town. I had send a msg to LORONA24A to see if he is in any way related to the Lorona's that lived in kearny as I went to school with a Lorona anyhow, seeing the name brings back GOOD memories! -
Well this will be my last input on this subject. If you want to make it challenging as you put it, put away the optics, the scents, trail cam's, rattling horns, the atv's and such and grab a traditional longbow, or muzzle loader and get after it. What i find most laughable about this is the fact that those who are against feeders make it sound like its a given that you are going to kill something, and its not. I will enjoy my hunts on the ranch regardless of how people feel about the methods used. And my final parting shot, wklman, would you shoot this even though it was shot from a blind on a feeder as it passed not giving second thought to the corn? or let it walk? My guess is that to save face, you'll say you'd let it pass, and we both know the real truth. No matter how you do it, have fun doing it, and take you kids with you as those times in the field or in the blind will be the ones they most remember. http://www.coueswhitetail.com/forums/index...?showtopic=2965

What you'd tell your hunting buddies (whom also would be setting feeders) is that you scored a B&C buck and they would be just as happy as the buddies you would tell about your spike that you walked 2 miles in the tulies for. And I only say this because i too had your mentality, born and raised in arizona (wklman? wouldnt happen to live in winkleman would ya?) grew up walking my a$$ off for that spike. Married my wife (Texan) and was afforded the opportunity to hunt on her sisters ranch in South Texas. I tried the walking bit in hopes of killing that big whitetail, no such luck. My father-in-law told me i had to sit in the stands or my efforts would produce minimal, he was correct. Once i started sitting the stands either on feeders or Oat patches, i started seeing lots of bucks, and i do mean lots, but i have yet to kill that B&C buck because as much as you may think that B&C is going to run to the corn HAH not likely. If you by chance do kill a B&C class buck in the area of a feeder he is usually passing through or chasing one of the does that frequents your feeders. Again, i know people have different feelings in regards to this, but cmon sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do, and whats that old saying "when in rome, do as the romans do"?
