They require a mandatory reporting on all archery deer. Aren't they worried that if they go to a 20% = draw method that reporting numbers are going to plummet? Just a thought -
Very nice buck. Must be great to live somewhere where the deer are plentiful.

I totally agree Tony. Protein feeders and food plots would be a better way to improve the deer herds in Arizona but I don't know of any programs that allow hunters to help out with this type of activity. I am sure that on private ranches supplemental feeding is being done, but not on public land. Why isn't G&F looking into something like this. It would strengthen the numbers and allow for more hunters in the field to produce the almighty BUCK in G&F's pocket, but at the same time allow for a better deer herd in Arizona. -

Funny you mention that Tony, that is exactly what happened last week during my hunt in Texas. Put a little corn into a soda can and shake it every now and then and they will come running. However I don't feel that we are anywhere near that stage hear in AZ. I do feel that we have to put down more of something to help the deer throughout hard times, even if we are unable to hunt over it. -

Can anyone tell me if any of the binocular adapters in the CW store fit on Burris Signature Series 12x50 Binoculars. I would like to mount them to the Slik Sprint PRO Tripod with some sort of panning head. I am not sure if I will go with the Jim White one or not. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Burris Signature Series Binocular Adapter

Thanks Amanda. I do know that the cap unscrews and the the screw is 1/4" but I am not sure if the Swaro Adapter is skinny enough to fit between the barrels. Have any idea how wide the Swaro Adapter is? -

I would love to, unfortunately I will be in Texas hunting some pigs. -
Is it just me or are the two pictures of two different bucks? Just can't see alot of similarities between the two pictures other than he/they are huge.

STOLEN TRAIL CAM IN UNIT 21
SouthernCouesHunter replied to jmwhitehunter's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
Sorry for your loss. Fortunately I haven't been subjected to getting any of my cameras stolen and I am appreciative of that. However, I do suggest trying to secure the camera to the tree with a big chain so then the person(s) that want to steal it will have to think long and hard as to if they want to carry a huge pair of bolt cutters with them for 2 miles in and 2 miles out to cut it off the tree. I guess that if they want it that bad then there is nothing that can be done to stop them. Again, sorry for your loss. -
Put out this mock scrape on the 5th of December and already have bucks and does hitting it He's not big, but bigger ones will come Doe

I have had quite a bit of success with the "Wildlife Research Center" scents. Particularly the "Active Scrape", "Trails End #307", and "Doe Estrus". I have also had success with a grunt call. It is hit and miss with a rattle bag, but I have had them run in on occasion. "The Can" has also proved to be a useful weapon.

Ameristep Doghouse Blind
SouthernCouesHunter replied to coocoo4coues's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
COOSEFAN: I suggested the Double Bull Blind to him, but he wanted to go cheap. Now he is paying the price in frustration. I may have to ask my wife to go take it down for him (because I can't do it either) so then he can return it and get a better blind. -

Hey coocoo4coues, Isn't this day number 5 of you trying to break that thing down. I told you it was going to be a pain in the a$$. -
curmugden: I would have to agree with you. I have hunted December and January in (35A/30B) very hard for the last 6 years and have seen that the rut has come later and later each year. Usually though, we start seeing pre-rut activity just after the archery season opens but don't see any chasing until the second or third week in January.
