Always liked the looks of a big airedale. If you read about their history, what a noble dog.

What are you going to do for an encore? Great Job.

You are not limited to round nosed or the new Leverevolution ammo in a bolt action or singleshot rifle. If you handload for a 30-30 there are numerous bullet options available. I load the 125 grain NBT's and am pleased with the performance at the range and on deer, javelina etc. Makes a great load for the kids.

Nice looking pups. We have two females and each had one litter a year from the same stud. He escaped and ran himself to death on July 4th. Our older female was spayed two years ago. We have had people come from as far as Salt Lake City to get a pup. Advertise in the AZ. Republic and Tucson Daily Star and be persistent. Double your price on the females, THEY WILL COME. And to good homes. We have had people call back years later.

Try this, Place three fingers between the pedicles of the skull. If you can barely get three fingers between the pedicles it is a coues whitetail. Even with a yearling mule deer buck you can get four fingers between them. Works every time. Try it with some skulls you might have laying around.

32 early for myself, son and brother. 31 second hunt for my daughter, wife drew 31 late hunt. Personally I have been drawn for deer every year, except for one time, for the last 32 years. Several of those years in a row in the mid 80's I had two whitetail tags, the second being a December hunt when their were leftover tags available. When the mule deer populations were high Coues deer were not nearly as popular as they are today. Three times I applied for mule deer in the 80's and was drawn, the rest have been whitetail tags. I always put a good hunt first choice, and a high draw odds second. If only I could be so lucky on Elk, Antelope, Turkey, New Mexico, etc.

winchester model 70, 300 wsm
singleshot replied to cohofishing's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I bought a model 700 for my son for high school graduation. The factory winchester 180's, power points shot great. We have reloaded some 165's in Nosler ballistic tips, and Remington core lokt's as well as 150 grain Hornady SSt's. Everything shoots really good. If you handload be careful of the case overall length. The 700 has a really short magazine and we had to reseat everything to below the C.O L. in the manuals. Great caliber!!! -
left my 10 x 42's on the tailgate in the case during a long rain storm and they fogged up. I had a NM elk hunt in two weeks and when I contacted Swaro they said to send them in and if I didn't have them back in seven days that they would over night me a pair to use until mine were fixed. I had mine back in five days, actually they sent me brand new ones as replacements. I was overwhelmed by the service. This was in 2001, I hope it never changes.

Note my handle. I love my Ruger #1's. I wish I could get a few from the old days that came with AAA fancy walnut and such, but my day will come. I love the balance and the look of my #1's, they feel great and shoot good. If your a reloader you can really serve up the soup in that indestructable falling block. I also have a couple of the NEF's. In my opinion the best value for the dollar in the market. For $450.00 you can get a good rifle and a nice leupold scope with mounts and still have enough coin for a box of shells. My next #1 is going to be in 45-70, gotta love it.

Can you spell Unsuccessful? I've seen it a lot lately.

I tried to get one through Davidson's in Prescott, waiting list with no projected allotment available. The recent issue of American Hunter has a write up on them. In the dark at ten feet? A load of 4's would be ugly.

My buddy called this the pounding nails buck ( Thats what it sounded like in the canyon he was in while my wife blazed away at him) We decided to hunt high on one of those 90 degree October days, it paid off. My dad and his old LC Smith he calls deliverance. The longest drag, the longest eye gaurds, smile was worth it.

Biggest bodied coues I have ever seen, steepest country we have ever hunted also. Nine years and 11 bonus points my best archery bull 353 5/8ths. My brother came up on this day and we called in several big bulls. He was as excited as I was when the bull piled on impact. Best coues deer ever 115 5/8 gross 111 5/8 net official bowhunting in Arizona score. Baby girls first big game animal, and it was a big one. Another first, and maybe last?

Family raised, excelent dispositions. References available. The first five females sold for $600.00. Members deal, $450.00 for females, $350.00 for males. Will take valid gift cards from Home Depot, Sportsmans, or Cabelas instead of cash. Pups are 7 weeks. I have sold 35 pups in five years and NEVER have had a complaint, only praise. These dogs can retrieve a bass boat.
