My Dad uses an old LC from that era on turkeys and shoots full strength 2 3/4" turkey loads. It does not have damascus barrels though. Works real good and he calls it Deliverance.

Great buck! Whenever you post a pic It is usually something special. Once again you did not disappoint.

Toys....and they must play with them. Macho B, a boat load of squirrels on Mt. Graham. The best chance of survival for any of them is to just leave them alone. But they must constantly play with them and nothing wild can handle the continual stress.

I have the 12x17 Montana canvas with the Kwik Kamp frame, which is an awesome set up. When I first got it I set it up in the august heat with a sprinkler over the top and one inside it for most of a day then let it dry. That was 16 years ago and I have never sealed it and it has never leaked a drop. I have had to cut the leg poles down twice, a total of probably 8 inches. I also ended up cutting down each rafter pole about 3 inches so that the sides of the tent would line up again. I have never had to cut the ridge poles, for some reason it does not shrink lengthwise. I used a tubing cutter for EMT conduit and it made perfect cuts. Sounds like a pain but I really have not noticed much difference in size, and it has been a solid setup for years in some pretty miserable weather.

Passed on big buck. Right move?
singleshot replied to Ethicsovereverything's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
There will be a lot of those situations that come up if you stay with it. You did the right thing, and when the time is right and you know it, thread that needle. -
2 1/2 inch chambers? Cool gun, you should keep it and shoot a turkey or something with it some day.

Recently bought a rifle from Levers and it was exactly as described and better. If he says they are nice, they are really nice. Very nice condition, probably close to exceptional. -
Black rock near Fort Thomas archery Javelina hunting. PSE Nova compound.

Several positions will be posted in the coming weeks for available positions at the Large Binocular Observatory based out of Safford. Two for the position of Staff Maintainence Mechanic, job qualifications to include experience in industrial mechanical / electrical atmosphere. Two engineering positions are also available on site, Operations manager, and engineering coordinator. The pay is to be expected while working for a University, not the best, but 80% tuition reduction for your wife or kids at any of the three AZ. universities, retirement, full benefits, sick time and 22 paid vacation days after five years. State benefits but privately funded so any state cut backs do not affect us. Maintainence positions are 4, 10 hour shifts. Check the website at largebinocularobservatory.com Positions should be posted this weekend. We need some more hunters up here. Guys who can drive in the snow, can take subfreezing weather on a daily basis, will come to work and turn out some product.

Don't know where an? In Arizona Yeah I sponged his elk points for a few years and we finally drew archery bull tags in 1 with 12 points. That was in 2010. I had 8 elk points at that time. We go into the draw with 21 points, I have 24 he has 18. He killed an 88 inch goat in 1999 if I remember the year right. In 19B I believe. DIY If It takes five more years to draw together I don't really care. May even hire a "guide". At This point I'm just looking at options outside of unit 1, which isn't one of the better antelope units, and has been my first choice for 24 years straight.

Any input on what you guys think about 5A and 5B as far as a quality antelope hunt would be appreciated. I have 24 points going into the draw this year so my odds are finally about 1%. Thanks

Shouldn't have had that second cup of coffee. Seriously, great that you get to do what you love. My wife was rooting for the fox.

Winchester model 67A boys rifle I bought used for $15.00, 22 caliber. Bought my first shotgun from JC Penny in Safford when I was 14. Ithica side by side 12 gauge. I used one of my Dad's rifles until I bought my own for deer hunting. 6.5x55 Swede built on a Mauser. Still have all of them.

Well, Suzy and I defied the odds and both drew late whitetail tags, In different units. We headed south for the first couple of days and found quite a few bucks with the help of some friends but nothing to get too excited about. Suzy had to go back to work and I did also so we vowed to come back at the end of her hunt. I had the last couple of weeks of my hunt off and was able to spend 10 of the last 14 days in the field. Had a great time hunting with my son, brother, and Dan my daughters boyfriend from Vermont. Spent a lot of time in the wind glassing the less windy bottoms and opposing hillsides and it paid off. We found numerous bucks each day, and passed some really good deer. December 30th Dan picked up a buck a long ways off in an area where my brother and I had seen an absolute monster a couple of days earlier. We were able to pick up the does the big buck was with on the same hillside but could never locate him again. I was a little hesitant to pursue the buck Dan had glassed but as the day warmed up and still no sign of the big buck we took off. An hour later we peaked over a saddle and two mule deer does had us pegged at fifty yards. As they went crashing down the canyon I knew it was going to turn into a rodeo real quick and it did. The boys were calling them out as whitetails started busting out from everywhere and I felt like I was quail hunting trying to get on them. Eventually the buck we had seen came out of the bottom and started up the other side. We had one more day to hunt so we headed south again. We got kind of a late start and were walking into an area to set up and glass when my son Dane picked up a buck in his bed on a really thick hill side. Suzy looked him over and decided to take him.

Big Bull elk, 33 yards. Through the top of the shoulders and severed the spine. 100 grain glue on Muzzy for a 16/ 64 shaft. Shot these for quite a few years before they went obsolete. Outstanding flight, and they held together well on impact. Killed a mule deer and a javelina on the same day with the same broad head once. Quite a few others. Shot them on a 16/64 Beman shaft. They were the real deal.

What a great hunt and thanks for sharing your contacts and the experiences you have had with them. Results like this and the good times you have had sure makes it seem doable for the average guy. Really like your videos and your DIY success. Thanks for sharing.

Mature mule deer buck exit wound at 63 yards. Broke 1 rib in and two out. Javelina, 40 yards took out both shoulders. Entrance Exit 125 Grain Swhacker Broadhead. Taken four big game animals with them. Ferrules bent on every one. Blades bent on a couple of them but have never broken. Doesn't really bother me that they have been unusable after a harvest as long as they have done the job. Fly really good as far as I care to shoot. Every animal I have ever shot with them has been recovered. I have been at this for awhile and have taken over 30 head of big game in Arizona with a bow. Not bragging but I have shot a lot of different broad heads. In the end shot placement is the key, but for the last few years I have been shooting the Swhacker 125, I like it, I have confidence in it, the terminal performance has been outstanding, and right now I don't have any thoughts of changing. Even on elk.
