Bought a $150.00 gel cell for my 2009. So far it has outlasted the first 3 Polaris brand batteries.

" Levers" can probably give you a really good reference.

There was a couple last weekend outside of Denver holding a sign calling themselves the "litter buds". They had a couple of big trash bags full of garbage and one of the two was sacking trash around the intersection. At least they were doing something meaningful. I gave out a buck.

I agree Horned Toad is usually solid ants, but does look like the crap the big toads around the house leave.

My Dad who is 84 and a younger buddy in his mid 70's set up a blind a few days before the second hunt. They had some action the first few days and eventually called in this Jake. "Deliverance" the old L.C. Smith roared and the hunt was over. Picture was taken in front of his home in Alpine.

I have Swaro 10's and 12's. The 12's stay around my neck and are amazing on a tripod. They don't come threaded for a tripod adapter which I still think is crap for the cost. You will have to get some hokey strap system or send them to Outdoorsmans and have them machine and press in a stud. Definitely the way to go. -
Father in laws Tundra rattles like crap without any adapter, just the two inch sleeve. He took it back to the dealer thinking it was the exhaust. Now he just turns down his hearing aids.

Thats a really cool give away and would save the right person a bunch of cash. Good of you.

Beautiful job on the pics., calling , all around awesome.

I have had 4 archery bull tags in 28 years of applying, 26 of those years my first choice has been unit 1 and second choice 27. The last two years I had unit 1 late rifle as a second choice. I now have 25 points for antelope, I would trade them in a second for a unit 1 archery bull tag. There may be better elk units but I love that country.

Think this is the "elk Hammer" that somebody on here was looking for.

I have 25 now unless something miraculous happens, but to be honest I put in with my brother and we went into the draw with 21 this year. 5b and 9 were our choices. Congrats!

Thats a beautiful piece of wood that rifle is wearing. Very nicely done.

I spent a whole day in the valley going from One Home depot to another to put together a cabinet set that one store was supposed to have all of. Every stores inventory was off and I ended up having to travel all over the place to piece it together. By the end of the day I had purchased basically every thing for a complete home remodel, fans, fixtures, faucets etc. Adding up the receipts every store had failed to charge me for numerous items. Several times the alarms went off pushing the cart out the door only to be waved on by the cashier. I live 160 miles away and wasn't going back. No wonder the scanned inventory was so screwed up.

I can't remember if it was Pine Donkey or Alpine Bullwinkle had a Ruger M77 in .257 Roberts for sale. Good buy in a better caliber than either of the others for an all purpose rifle. Especially for the hand loader. -
Very fair price as always. Good luck with the sale.

It looks like all these were taken care of really well. I have a similar 16 but single trigger. That combo gun is really nice also. Good luck with your sale. I would keep them.
-
Sounds like another great adventure! Good luck and safe travels.

Great shot! Not sure about the Javelina hunting part, with a dog. Check out the "Dogging Coyote's" video's sometime.

Rage 3-blade broadhead SUCK!?!?!
singleshot replied to AZ_Native's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
My daughter recently harvested a Javelina using an expandable blade broad head. She is shooting a Hoyt Rampage if I remember right, at a draw weight of fifty pounds. Gold tip 400 arrows at 27.5 inches of draw length. Her BF's uncle has won the Triple Crown twice and tuned and set it up for her. He recommended 75 grain Wasp Jack Hammer expandables and that's what she shot. Not my first choice I was thinking fixed blades only, but I'm not stupid enough to argue with a guy like that. First arrow she shoots at anything besides a target she smokes a big jack at 30 yards. Rabbits are thin skinned, no big deal. Second arrow she kills a big boar at 33 yards. Broke ribs in and ribs out and the arrow floated off into the canyon a ways. Pigs are pretty good at stopping arrows, I was impressed, but Sarah's arrows fly so pretty and it adds up to a great set up. -
That was awesome to watch and thanks for sharing. Took me back to when my wife and I were often at other ends of the state between girls basketball and wrestling. Those kids leave everything out there on the mat, physically and emotionally drained after a win or loss. My son wrestled 3 years for Thatcher and won quite a few tournaments but never at state. To win at state is outstanding. Congratulations to your whole family.

Darwanism at it's finest. Javelina have become a lot more cold tolerant in the last 40 years and it's obvious as their range continues to grow. Never would have believed they could make it on the side of the Escudilla in November in the snow and that was over ten years ago. Found a herd last weekend in the late afternoon on the north side of a hill with snow on it. That's where the best bedding cover was though. I would spend most of my time focusing on south facing slopes. Not necessarily because the pigs want the sun but because they green up first. Any green early spring annuals like Filerie, not sure if I spelled that right but it's a low growing ground cover with purple flowers and especially Blue Dick. It resembles wild onions and has a small bulb for a root that pigs hammer this time of year. In unit 28 around Safford it is about the only green coming out right now. You should be able to find south facing hillsides that are being torn up as they root for Blue Dick. Filerie is more prominent in the flats and in the creosotes at the bases of the hills. We find pigs quite often at the transition where the creosote stops as the hills rise up off the desert floor.

Had a heads up that Santa might be bringing my daughter Sarah a bow for Christmas so I chose a HAM hunt for My wife Suzy and Sarah. We headed up to a new area, one that we spend quite a bit of time in but had never hunted before and Sarah snapped this picture of a lion that crossed the road in front of us at mid day. Pretty unique cat, the end of his tail and the lower half of his back legs was a deep chocolate color. He is in the upper left of the picture. I bailed out of the truck and was on the center stripe when a truck roared up beside me. I thought it was ADOT, nope AZGFD. If I had done something stupid AND ILLEGAL like shoot from the truck, the road, or across the road, would have been busted. Good Karma. We were unable to locate any pigs the first afternoon but glassed some up across a huge canyon the next day. We made a big loop to get the wind right and got into about 25 yards before getting busted by a pig we had not seen. There were about a dozen and they scattered like quail but I was able to bring some back in with a varmint call. Sarah put the smack on a nice boar and Suzy shot one also with a Ruger SP101 in .357 mag., Snubby at that. Great time in Gods country.

I bought base cabinets from IKEA. You can get them in every imaginable cabinet / drawer option, width, corner cabinet's with lazy Susan etc. I chose to mount them on 2x6 's to increase the counter height from the floor. Top was made from two layers of 3/4 inch particle board. First sheet glued and screwed to the cabinet tops. Second sheet glued, and screwed from the bottom to the first one. Trimmed out in 1x2 oak. Very stout and solid. Sheeted the walls with 1/2 inch CDX to make mounting the shelves easier and stronger. Ton of storage in a room that's only 49 square FT.
