5BS is the unit I've scouted the most, so it's my pick for elk.

I have a pair of Alpen 8x42's I wear with a bino harness, and Minox 15x58's for the tripod. -

Great pics! You use anchovies on the bottom, or what baits did you use to catch all those stripers?

I just ordered one. Merry Christmas to me! -
Does it come with topo mapping software of any kind?
-
They did have at least 1 pair of the Minox 15x58's at the Outdoorsman because I went there to test them out before I ended up buying them from Doug at Cameraland (better price). KP

If you can get over to Ross Outdoors, it would be your best bet. You can rent Swaro 15's along with a tripod. Last time I rented, it was $35 a day (including the tripod).

When is the hunt?
-
Are you looking for just the bullets or the ammo with berger bullets? I know where you can order online to get the ammo.
-
For $549, don't think you're going to beat Cameraland's price even on the used bino market.

elkdonkey: The southern part of the unit is very dry and I would not concentrate there. I would go where most of the folks here have said - head up north toward the border of 5BN/5BS. Much better conditions, more water and more elk.

kphunter replied to Coueser's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Most of the 'rez in the white mountains is closed to hunting so be sure you know what unit(s) you're hunting and know the boundaries. -
G&F has some water catchments close to the Picacho Mtns.

Use WipeOut, it will get 'er done. -
There are some whitetail in the Dragoon Mtns. You can enter from forest roads going in from Tombstone. Good luck, it will be a relatively tough hunt. KP

Anyone use a barrel donut/deresonator?
kphunter replied to firstcoueswas80's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Where do you guys mount the donut? How close to the forearm? Does it depend on the rifle/caliber? -
Interested in any trades?
