I haven't seen coues in the north. Where should I start scouting?

Hey everyone! Been a long time since I've been on the board. Will try to visit more often! I'm relatively familiar with the north side of unit 23, but not so much on the south end. This is my first Coues hunt in the unit. Would prefer to hunt in the north if there are decent numbers of mature bucks. I have a few spots to checkout in the south. Any additional tips on spots to scout would be greatly appreciated. I understand the country is rough in the south, especially in and near the wilderness area but I'm willing to glass and scout the areas where the bruisers live!

Folks, I went back to the glassing area we were at last week and I found it! Not sure how we missed it the first time around, but the hillside is so thick the pack blended in so well. So grateful that I made the trip yesterday, it was well worth it. Thanks to everyone here for their concerns and trying to help out!

Windy conditions seemed to be the norm up on the Rim last weekend. Calling was virtually ineffective especially Saturday, and with the full moon it seemed to throw off the roost a bit. Will be back at 'em within the next few weekends.

Think what Becker is trying to say is, did they look at the second through fifth choices or only the first choice during the draw? Legitimate question if you ask me.

Any pics? What condition?

I would fish Crescent or Big Lake, then try a few of the reservation lakes like Hawley. There are a few other small gems on the 'rez that would be worth your while!
