Yeah, this is what I was talking about in my post... you're willing to sacrifice some awesome and irreplaceable Father/Son ONLY time, for a measly >70% grade in High School Biology. You just don't get those times back. Hunting, in my opinion, shouldn't be held as a "reward" or ransom for anything in the first place. Isn't there other stuff to play the game with??? Allowance, xbox or whatever game console, a door for their bedroom, internet use, cell phone, household chores, new clothes/shoes, reductions in social life, rides to the mall, borrowing the car? I don't have a teenaged child, but it seems like there are other options than burning a tag and skipping out on quality time spent outdoors. Agreed, IF they would work.... My boy is a huntin' unit and quite frankly, hanging hunts over his head is the only reason he isn't failing the other classes too. He knows the drill, it's a matter of back bone on my part.. If I took electronics away, he would spend the whole afternoon shooting his bow and be A OK with it. I have my fingers crossed though, his lazy butt better pull it off.. (He normally does) It could be worse....... He could be a democrat!! LOL

I am dealing with it right now.... Needless to say, if the Biology grade doesn't come up over 70 by late october, I will be donating a 20A tag..... It kills me because the hunts are the few "Father/Son ONLY" times we get and I feel like I'M the one being jipped because he can't keep his grade up... I feel your pain, but like you said.... No grades, No hunt.

Oh the pain.... Texts like that sure do make you hate where you are, esspecially if you are at work.... I have the same thing going on with 2 of my buds.... I am about to shoot myself.. The herd will most likely be gone by the your daughters hunt rolls around.. I have seen a couple stragler cows in there on the first day of the jr hunt, again not for long..Its a great unit FILLED with elk, stay off the roads and you should do fine...
