Good action Sunday night at Roosevelt

Decided to head out and hit the lake Sunday night. Me and my regular fishing partner and my other buddy who had never gone before. It was really slow until about 11pm then it started getting good. Everyone got lots of fish even the new guy! It was a real fun night and good action. Total was 58 for the night. Right Around 400lbs of fish. I also hope everyone can make it out to the benefit shoot on the 17th! -Travis

    Arrow question??

A .500 spine arrow will be fine! If she goes up in poundage above 50# I would consider going to a .400 spine arrow just for tube ability of the bow. The .500 spine arrows are factory rated safe up to 55#s. the only reason I suggest a .400 spine arrow is if she's planning on hunting you might run into some difficulty getting broadheads to tune/fly above 50#s. as far as safety goes you are well within the clear!

Best fletching jig on the market?

I work at Robinsons Archery in tucson and I can tell you I have fletched thousands and thousands of arrows. The best most adjustable jig are the Bitzinberger jigs. They are the most accurat consistant jigs. I've used almost every jig on the market and I have always returned to the Bitzinberger. They are the most adjustable for offset and most consistant. Fletching is time consuming and you want to make sure it's accurate and the same over large quantities of arrows. If you plan on doing a lot of arrows get two. I'm fortunate to have 6 set up on the bench. Definitely helps when I have 12 dozen arrows to fletch...

Today should be the day they start hitting cards. The lady at the tucson game and fish meeting last night told me the leftover tag list should be out by the 17th and possibly the 15th.

Hicap40 is at it again...... Elk pics

Makes me wish I had a tag. It's been a long long long time for me...I guess I'm fortunate I get to go help my dad, mom, sister, and step dad all try and tag a bull elk this year; minus my sister with a early rifle cow tag.I don't mind being the caller(family guide)/packing grunt. Sure couldn't think of a better way to burn vacation time than in gods country chasing elk.

  20. DIVORCE AGREEMENT WRITTEN BY YOUNG COLLEGE STUDENT The person who wrote this is a college student. Perhaps there is hope for us after all. DIVORCE AGREEMENT Dear American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists and Obama supporters, et al: We have stuck together since the late 1950′s for the sake of the kids, but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I want a divorce. I know we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations, but sadly, this relationship has clearly run its course. Our two ideological sides of America cannot and will not ever agree on what is right for us all, so lets just end it on friendly terms. We can smile and chalk it up to irreconcilable differences and go our own way. Here is a model separation agreement: Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by landmass each taking a similar portion. That will be the difficult part, but I am sure our two sides can come to a friendly agreement. After that, it should be relatively easy! Our respective representatives can effortlessly divide other assets since both sides have such distinct and disparate tastes. We dont like redistributive taxes so you can keep them. You are welcome to the liberal judges and the ACLU. Since you hate guns and war, well take our firearms, the cops, the NRA and the military. Well take the nasty, smelly oil industry and you can go with wind, solar and biodiesel. You can keep Oprah, Michael Moore and Rosie ODonnell. You are, however, responsible for finding a bio-diesel vehicle big enough to move all three of them. Well keep capitalism, greedy corporations, pharmaceutical companies, Wal-Mart and Wall Street. You can have your beloved lifelong welfare dwellers, food stamps, homeless, homeboys, hippies, druggies and illegal aliens. Well keep the hot Alaskan hockey moms, greedy CEOs and rednecks. Well keep the Bibles and give you NBC and Hollywood. You can make nice with Iran and Palestine and well retain the right to invade and hammer places that threaten us. You can have the peaceniks and war protesters. When our allies or our way of life are under assault, well help provide them security. Well keep our Judeo-Christian values. You are welcome to Islam, Scientology, Humanism, political correctness and Shirley McClain. You can also have the U.N. but we will no longer be paying the bill. Well keep the SUVs, pickup trucks and oversized luxury cars. You can take every Volt and Leaf you can find. You can give everyone healthcare if you can find any practicing doctors. Well continue to believe healthcare is a luxury and not a right. Well keep The Battle Hymn of the Republic and The National Anthem. Im sure youll be happy to substitute Imagine, Id Like to Teach the World to Sing, Kum Ba Ya or We Are the World. Well practice trickle-down economics and you can continue to give trickle up poverty your best shot. Since it often so offends you, well keep our history, our name and our flag. Would you agree to this? If so, please pass it along to other like-minded liberal and conservative patriots and if you do not agree, just hit delete. In the spirit of friendly parting, Ill bet you answer which one of us will need whose help in 15 years. Sincerely, John J. Wall Law Student and an American P.S. Also, please take Ted Turner, Sean Penn, Martin & Charlie Sheen, Barbara Streisand, & ( Hanoi ) Jane Fonda with you. P.S.S. And you wont have to press 1 for English when you call our country.

    Unit 10 Early Rifle Bull

I have lots of experience In the unit and most is shed hunting but I've been apart of my dad an his partner having early archery tags there as well. It's a phenomenal unit but just because its a "trophy unit" doesn't mean you will get a good bull. We spend hours and miles looking for sheds and during the hunt we had many good bulls but that also came with the price of scouting and many miles on the ground daily. 10 is like any other unit if you don't put time In you will be mildly successful. If you have time to hit the back country you will exceed and excell! Good luck and congradulations on my dream hunt. Plan to put the miles on and wear a few pair of boots out. If you're that dedicated you shouldn't have a problem finding a bull of a lifetime

    Pima county archery range

I work for Pima County NRPR and trust me don't trust what you hear for an opening date. The department drags their feet so slow on everything it makes molasses look fast. Right now the county department is in a spending freeze until the fiscal year ( July). There are still some minor things needing to be done out there (maybe a weeks worth of work) but we keep getting pulled off to go babysit Huckleberry's pet projects. Figure for late summer early fall for it opening judging by the way things are going in the county right now.
