San Tan Chapter - Mule Deer Foundation Banquet
wayno945 replied to muskrat's topic in Conservation Group Events
Same here! Great Job! -
I have the Yeti 125. Used it for a six day deer hunt last year. Was still frozen when we got home. I'm pretty confident I could fit a whole elk it. Best cooler I've ever had.
-
I've caught quite a few of them ice fishing up in Massachusetts. They are a big part of the stocking program up in the Northeast.

Should be easy to reload. Cartridge is based on the 308 winchester, necked down to 6.5 mm (.264). For brass you can use 243, 7-08, or 308 and full length resize to 260. The cartridge is fairly popular in F class (up to 1000 yards) competitions these days, due to its light recoil and great long range performance of 6.5 bullets. If I didn't have my 25 caliber rifles, I would probably pick one up. If you're quick, shootersproshop has Nosler 260 brass and 6.5 130 gr Accubonds on sale now. I think you would be happy with it. With 130 or 140 grain bullets, you could probably use it for elk as well. Load data: http://data.hodgdon.com/cartridge_load.asp

Did the website go down tonight at all?

Good luck with your new job!

Load data from Hodgdon's website. I would start around 59 grains and work up to 63, looking for pressure signs.

Is this the correct manual? There are takedown instructions inside. https://s3.amazonaws.com/savagefiles/manuals/manual_shotgun_350.pdf -
East Valley Gunsmith - shotgun won't cycle
wayno945 replied to kidso's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Is it possible to start taking it apart with the action in that position? -
I was looking at building one of those as well. I've read nothing but good things about those blackhole barrels. Let us know how it shoots. What weight bullets are you planning on shooting?
-
Who made the upper for you?
-
There are also several wildcats based on the 6.8 case. I'm really interested in the 25 DTI.
-
This looks a rate hike to me, mostly on resident hunters. I don't approve.

Can't go wrong with Nosler Accubonds or Partitions in the 130-150 grain range. -
Need Help: Questions about Selling and Shipping a Rifle
wayno945 replied to rossislider's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Sounds like this dude is super paranoid or is trying to dupe you. I know of no restrictions or problems with paypal relating to DoD clearances. I would play it safe and sell to a local. -

That's a fact Jack!

Let's hope they aren't as successful as what happened in Yellowstone. That wolf disease is spreading throughout the Rockies. It really sucks that both state and federal game officials are colluding to ruin Arizona's game population.
