I have never shot the AR Velocity, but spoke with a hunter who hunts with one and loves it. I currently hunt with a AR 37 it is a awesome bow, so I would think that the Velocity would be a great bow. PSE has always made quality bows whether it's Archery research, Browning, or Pse bows.

Pse pro shop is located in Tucson , You can get a new bow for under $300.00 ready to shoot!!! I've seen them as low as $199.00. Trust me here, a new bow is worth its weight in gold. I know you said money's limited, but If there is anyway possible then do it. Shoot yours, then shoot theirs you'll notice the difference.

I have been using the whisker biscuit rest for a number of years and I love it, no worries of your arrow falling off rest, as for loss of speed it is not a factor as it is so minimal, as already stated by redman.

Tree stand vs pop up ground blind
mulie hunter replied to mulie hunter's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
You guys are great, I was leaning towards the theory that the deer noticed something new in the area, but after reading these replies, I think it had more to do with scent control issues. -
My buddy and his friend returned from the north kaibab last week. Heres the scenario, they set up a pop-up ground blind on a waterhole and hunted 4 days saw deer but none would come in, had a mountain lion walk within 7 yards though, so on the 4th afternoon they drive to St george and buy a tree stand, on the morning of the fifth day my buddy shoots a buck from the treestand, that afternoon his friend shoots one. Why? same waterhole, different tactic. Did the deer notice something out of place with the ground blind, or was it a scent issue?

Unit 8 is one of my favorite units, I just can't draw a tag there!!!!

That's great a job, lions don't come easy, what a trophy!!! The Kaibab is a awesome place to hunt!

Tree stand vs pop up ground blind
mulie hunter replied to mulie hunter's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
No, my buddy went to draw, and the lion took off , didn't even get a chance to let a arrow fly. He thinks his elbow contacted the blind and made some noise. -
All I can say is WOW!!!!!

12a that is a awesome hunt, I didn't make the hunt this year, had to work!!!!! But my 2 buddies just got back from the kaibab last night, Took two nice bucks from the same waterhole, that is a key to the the Kaibab hunt the water.

North Kaibab Hunt
mulie hunter replied to Red Rabbit's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
That's a great story and a great hunt. -
Awesome bull, that ought to get your blood pumping if you got a archery bull tag.
-
Of course I chose "other". As my favorite all around caliber , most definetly without argument the best, The tried , true, & tested 30-06 was left out of the poll.
-
Definetly not what I call hunting!!!! I hope SCI doesn't accept them as it is not fair chase!!!

Went on my first scouting trip this weekend for my Oct. whitetail hunt. Very beautiful country, encountered a creek that was running with little water falls. Noticed the unit had alot of water, wondering how it is in october as we found some nice water holes that would be good if it is drier in Oct.? Only saw six deer , three of which were bucks (2 )-3x3's and a 2x2. The coues are a neat deer, I noticed they run verses the way a mulie kinda pogo's away. Anyway I'm going back in a few weeks, any Idea's as to specific canyons etc.. to glass, P.M. me. By the way AZP&Y the 12x56 nikon monarchs worked great, but I got to get that tripod needed it!

not to go off on tangent but the 30-06 is the best all around caliber, from varmints to bison.

Praticing for the upcoming bow season , Shooting at 20 yards, I got my first robin Hood, I was so excited my wife came outside to see what was up. Now the the arrows are on the wall like a trophy. I tried posting a pic. I still can't get it to work.
