Coosefan, thanks for the advice. I'm going up every month until the season starts, So these next couple of months I will focus on learning the country. When the hunt starts, I plan on staying for the entire season if that's what it takes. hoghntr, I will check those area's out on my scouting trips. I appreciate the help.

Well I finally Got drawn for bull elk. 7 west Sept. Archery. I'm excited and pumped about this!!! It's my first ever Bull tag!!! Any advice on hunting elk during the rut would be greatly appreciated. Should I look for a good water hole, try calling, maybe a little of both??? Thanks in advance for your help.

Good Luck I think all the bulls moved to unit 8 this year! Thats funny! Anyway I'm planning on being up there for the whole hunt if thats what it takes. It would be cool to bump into you guys up there.

Hey, Bownut my second year putting for 7 west, I know that Hoyts, so go PSE!!! I was putting in for 4a with no luck. 300wsm & Deserthntr that sounds like good advice. I went out and bought a couple cow calls and a bugle. I can't wait!!!!

I was on the Kaibab for 7 days. Saw lots of deer! over 30 bucks! 10 of which were monster mulies just couldn't close the distance for a shot! I may go back up Sunday! The burns were holding alot of bucks.

12A North Kaibab Archery

I put in for 12A Archery first choice. From these posts sounds like I got a good chance of drawing that tag.

I'm thinking it's time for a new bow, I've had my AR37 for a couple years now and like it, but I'm drooling over the X-Force. Just wondering what the X-Force owners out there have to say about thier bows, all the good and bad, if there is any bad with this bow! I saw the X-force Long Draw HF and Dream Season HF on-line and am leaning towards one of them. I know all the Matthew's owners are green with envy!!! Gotta love PSE Bows!!!

My two kids got thier deer tags in today for the 12a junior hunt. I tought it was nice of the G&F to include a dvd about the Kaibab hunt and a coupon for 2 boxes of Federal premium vital-shok ammo redeemable at Cabelas or Sportmans warehouse. Thats 4 boxes of free ammo, So a big thanks to Cabelas, Sportmans Warehouse and the AZG&F.

Scout'em I'll probably check out Pse pro shop in Tucson, that's where I got My AR37. I too like the $400.00 savings, there ain't no Mattphew's bow worth that!!! Flash give me that number to that dealer so I can see who has the best deal.
