Unit 7 Antelope for me!!

My card got hit for 77.50 this morning. Looks like I'm getting my first antelope tag.

I only had one bonus point.

Finally got it done! My 7th day of hunting these pigs. I decided to try a new area, one I havent hunted in years, but I knew held pigs. I slept in and arrived to the area around 8am. The first spot had a camp near the hill, so I decide to go to plan b, upon arriving there, there are two fifth wheels camped there. I like to hunt alone so. I decided on a plan c go to a area I hunted years ago with my dad. Luckily these spots are within a few miles of each other. I arrived around 830 and began glassing and immediately glassed up a pig. Now to stalk within bow range. 30 minutes later I am on the hillside where the pig was, but I dont see the pig. Then all of a sudden I hear a "woof, woof" and 20 yards away is the pig standing by a mesquite tree. The rest is history.

I went to Game and Fish today and bought a Archery tag and a Ham tag for my favorite Javelina unit. Now all I have to do is fill them both! Just wondering how many others on this site are purchasing a second tag! On a side note I went scouting yesterday and found a herd of 10 javelina in my honey hole! I've harvested 2 out of the last 3 pigs in this area! Looking like some tasty Javelina fajitas soon!

TJ Im glad Im not the only who has a problem getting the call out of thier mouth fast enough for a shot. This morning called 3 javelinas they came in fast and were within 5 yards of me in no time...by time I dropped the call and clipped the release they turned and ran away. Talk about an adrenaline rush! I Love hunting pigs!

I will be out tuesday and wednesday in 37a.
