I tried this about 7 years ago and game and fish told me that they would not do it. There answer was, they would lose revenue and they could suport loosing revenue. Good luck if you try it now. Have all of your ducks in a row if you try it. Good Luck Indio

I drew my hunt again, 36A late Dec. My daughter drew the same tag. I hope we will be able to get her a buck this year like the one i shot last year.

I am a big fan of a single pin sight, that is what i us for tournements, i have a new sight, its called a HOGGERNAUT made by Spot Hogg. I know that some people do not understand why i would us it. But i have been using that type of a sight for about 8 years now. I guess if its not broke ,dont fix it. www.spot-hogg.com, check it out its a pretty nice sight. -

Great Buck !!! No Matter What , But If I Had To Score It, I Would Guess 175" to 180"., Indio -
Nice job, to be able and pull off the shot after going for the release and for the deer to still be standing there. The size of the buck doesn't matter it was a buck with the bow. That is something that alot of people can't do or haven't done. So great shot awsome buck. Indio

I would go back out and look, he may have just ran over a hill in a wash and beded down if you hit him. You can here a sound of ribs cracking if you hit him in the lungs. but if you hit him back or some where elso other than vitals, it sounds like a thump. At 30 yards you should have been able to see and hear the hit ! But i think you should go back out and try and glass him up or make circles until you find something. I have looked for elk with a marginal shot and found it 5 hours later. I just don't fill good about trying to go out and shoot another deer or elk, javalina until i gave it an honest try to find a shot animal. If you do , then continue the hunt. good luck Indio

I have seen some sign's of the rut in the phx. area. Buck's have the thick neck and are roming looking for doe's. I think it my not start here in the valley until the end of the month or the first of of Feb. This is just my opinion of what i have seen. Indio

We saw "a" javalina on thursday the 12th at day light and i was lucky enough to get an arrow in him at 12 yards he ran 20 yards and he was done. We were hunting in southern Az and after putting an arrow in this one , we didn't get a chance to fill another tag, i had 2 more friends with tags. I don't think its all about filling the tag, nothing better than setting down glassing with friends and try finding javalina, don't get me wrong filling the tag is great , it's a bonus to fill the tag. we didn't see another javalina until this afternoon and they were on the run. We did see some sign of the rut but it looked like it just one begining stages. Indio

Thank You, This is my best coues that i have ever taken. We did age him to be about 5 1/2 years. he did have a wedge head on him. So i guess i can say that i am hooked on coues deer now. I think the hardest thing to do now, is top this and if i don't, i will be happy on just hunting them. The best thing about hunting coues is, glassing on the side of a ridge with your friends. Indio

Thanks, we did have a hard time with this one. the only other buck we did see in some kind of the rut was a buck about 87" that was following a doe up the ridge and i couldn't get a shot. I do remember who you are. you and your partner did get some real nice bucks. we had a hard time with the boarder patrol going after drug runners , heat, moon phase and alot of other things. we did get some great footage of the buck before the shot and until the end of his days on the mountian.
