Anybody here that can bolt down safe into concrete?
BowHuntAZ replied to PelaPapas's topic in The Campfire
I really wouldn't worry too much about hitting a PT cable if you're just doweling in a couple of inches into the slab. But if you are truly concerned here's a company that we hire occasionally to x-ray slabs for us when we're coring through podium slabs and PT slabs. They can show you anything that's in the slab. http://www.gp-radar.com/ -
The chopper pilot mentioned McDowells while speaking over the live shot. S. I was already at work and didn't actually see this news story. Just like to keep people guessing lol

Are there any Grey Wolves near Forest Lakes????
BowHuntAZ replied to Big Browns's topic in The Campfire
http://fws.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=e87092240501466abd4606dcdb50ce98 They are there! I haven't seen (or at least confirmed the sighting) of one there yet but this isn't the first map I've seen or article I've read about them being in the area. This map is the furthest West I've seen yet in that area. Last I heard they were as far as Chevelon, but this seems to go past that. I have also heard from other people in the Forest Lakes area that they have seen wolves too. -
Offer made. see PM

I'm getting excited for Dove season!!!!
BowHuntAZ replied to Big Browns's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
Where does a guy go anymore thats relatively close to town and not flooded with people showering you with bbs? It's been years since I've gone and the last time I did it was a zoo (people, not giraffes and flamingos) at the tank we were hunting. The only reason I don't go is because everything seems crowded anymore. I'm usually solo but on a rare occasion my old man might join me. -
Definitely spring for the HDs if you can. I upgraded last year and they are incredible. Good luck this season!

Had my SLC non HD for a few years, never filled out a warranty card and still never did even when I contacted Swarovski for warranty work last year. They completely tore them apart, replaced parts, cleaned up others and rebuilt them like new for FREE. Better than vortex imo because you don't need to use the warranty every other time you actually use them or accidentally abuse them. I don't think the card means squat. Swaro stands behind their product no matter what from my own experience. I know others who have had the same experience. Highly recommend them.

Recommendations on a mid range pair of bino's

I was at the banquet hall last night talking to these guys as things were getting setup and they said about 165 have been sold so far. RMEF put on a very interesting seminar last night with David Allen and Randy Newberg that all hunters should be interested in but it was very disappointing to see how few actually showed up. I recommend all hunters lookup RMEF Real Conservation for an eye opening problem that they are going to be rallying hard against. Anyhow, the banquet looks like it's going to be one of the best yet with the great facilities they have this year. Good luck to everyone in the games and raffles.

Hmmm, so what was the strange object in the sky this morning?
BowHuntAZ replied to down2hunt's topic in The Campfire
This explains the bang sound that woke me up at 4, got my dogs barking and had me clear my entire house and yard with my 45 and a flashlight in my boxers. LOL -
Open to offers. This is prewired with a long chain for high ceilings and could be cut down as necessary.

I just sold my pool table and now have this light fixture I no longer need. Just posted it on CL but wanted to post it here too. It's not hunting related but there are a few trophies on the wall so does that count? Here's a link to the ad on CL. http://phoenix.craigslist.org/nph/hsh/5597825809.html Asking $350 obo. If a CWT member buys it for asking price I'll donate $50 to this site. Thanks for looking.

I left a camera out all winter one time (never again) and it got so cold that it killed the camera. Not sure what elevation you were at but that could be the case. I had a couple of weird colored pictures on the first cold days and then it died for a while. By weird colors I mean completely tinted green and purple. Must've thawed out and came back on intermittently for a while then died completely.

TTT make an offer if you're interested. Thanks

Took me about two weeks to move both pairs. First set went in just a couple days. People rushing for that instant sale are driving the cost down. Great for the buyers though!
