Hows this rifle shoot? I have one exactly like this in my safe I won last year at the RMEF banquet. Just havent taken the time to put a scope on it yet.

The tax credit is the only thing making it even worth considering but I personally still wouldnt do it. By the time you recover the money you spent on the solar panels by the small reduction in your electric bill youll need to buy new solar panels because of depletion. The solar panels become less effective and produce less energy over time = the need for new panels after x amount of years. The only argument for going solar is if you feel the need to reduce your carbon footprint, not for money savings. the technology just isnt there yet.

Where did you buy that Konex cover? I've been looking for a cover like that for the STX95 without spending a fortune. Would you be willing to sell just the cover?

You go ahead and go on Saturday. We will be hunting on Friday the 26th, because that's when the regulations say the season opens. Well I'm an idiot LOL. I was looking at 2017 regs. Sorry for any confusion guys. Thanks for correcting me. I'm going to edit my original post so no one else gets confused. -

I'll be in 20b helping a friends daughter attempt to get her first ever big game animal. -
Kiowa is a good outfit. They kill a lot of cows on that hunt. Youll have great opportunity. I hunted antelope with them a couple years ago and Ive never seen so many bucks in my life. Good honest hardworking guys. Have fun and let us know how it goes.

Not trying to hijack this thread but Im helping a friends 14 year old daughter try to get her first big game animal on the youth hunt this coming season. She has the 20B/21 tag. Im open to any tips anyone is willing to offer. I havent hunted javelina in 10 years and last i looked my spots were all but dried up of stink pigs. PM info if youre kind enough to share. Ill update this forum on the hunt hopefully with a grinning kiddo and her first kill.

At 15 yards or less and at that time shooting bottle caps sized groups at 50 yards, it was nearly impossible to be off more than an inch on the shot. Knowing exactly where the spot to hit is more about it all, and I knew exactly where to shoot. It's not lucky in any way to put an arrow at that distance within an inch or less or where I was shooting. These days I'm not nearly as good of shot as I was back then so the shot would have tk be 10 yards or less, and there would be no luck required to put an arrow right up that canal no problem. To each his own on your opinion of my shot, and it's all good that you feel this way , but that's an easy shot for someone that's proficient with a bow, and Better yet calm when shooting at an animal. 2 reasons luck played zero role in my shot. First being knowing the spot I shot at which isn't just an butt shot and being very proficient with a bow.Anyways I respect your opinion and I wouldn't recommend anyone shooting the shot on an elk, unless it's super close and they know the structure of the animal. Yep and no elk has ever moved more than an inch between when you squeeze the release and when the arrow gets there has it? I am only pitching in this ethics battle because it shouldn't be promoted to take questionable shots when you could let it walk and work on getting a better shot. It's not life or death for you so don't make it suffer for your bragging rights. Unless you just like to look at butt holes and that's your thing.

Arizona Vote to Ban Mountain Lion & Bobcat Hunting
BowHuntAZ posted a topic in Predator Hunting and Trapping
As an RMEF member I got an email about it this morning Let's not turn into another Commiefornia and get our senator to vote NO to this bill. https://elknetwork.com/take-action-az-sb-1182-attempts-ban-huntingtrapping-mountain-lions-bobcats/#/8/ Vote No on SB 1182, the bill to ban mountain lion and bobcat hunting in Arizona! The Arizona Senate will soon consider a bill to ban the hunting and trapping of mountain lions and bobcats in the state. SB 1182 would remove these animals from the list of big game animals that are managed by the Arizona Department of Fish and Game and instead make them protected species. The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation believes managed hunting and trapping of predators—including mountain lions and bobcats—plays a vital role in effectively balancing wildlife populations and encourages you to request your legislator vote against this misguided legislation. Mountain lion populations have grown substantially alongside deer and elk populations in many areas—showing the value of careful management. In some cases, mountain lion populations have grown so much that they negatively impact other wildlife. -

$50 for the Minoltas. They are surprisingly clear for older affordable glass. Glassed up the first mule deer I ever shot with these.
