That's a good day of scouting. To bad you didn't see any bucks. Coming down any time soon again?

Hey how is it going Jeremiah was just wondering if you got to go scouting down on 35b this past week? If so how did it go? Any luck spotting some bucks?

Are the binos still available?

What tagg did you draw for this hunt? I would recommend you to stay from the north side of the unit and work your way South. I've been hunting this unit for the pay5b years and border patrol population has increased over by Washington camp near the border. You will most likely run into them hiking in or out of any area down there. My plan fit this year is going as far away from the border in unit35b and try to get away from other hunters. If you want some company in one of your scoutings let me know. I might be able to come along on my days off.

Roasted tomato salsa 5 Roma tomatoes 1/2 white onion 2-3 jalapeños or serranos , depending on how hot you want it 1/4 cup fresh cilantro sprigs 1-2 cloves fresh garlic roughly chopped Salt and pepper On a hot grill or hot pan, I like mine better on the grill gives it a better flavor, grill the first 3 ingredients make sure to not over grill the jalapeños because they loose their flavor. After all ingredients are grilled put tomatoes onion jalapeños cilantro garlic and salt and pepper in blender or food processor and pulse them thru do not blend so you can get a nice chunky salsa with texture. Finish with a squeeze of lemon. Works great with barbecues or grilled chicken and also to snack with tostitos chips. Hope you enjoy

I cross thru the checkpoint at least 5 times a week heading towards work. Alot of the time i have my hiking pack with my binoculars and scope and never have they asked me anything about my gps coordinates to my cams. That's unusual. Did you ask why?

Me and my brother where lucky to draw a early Dec tag for unit 35B. I have some concerns regarf8ng the wild fires we had south of patagonia laat month. Should I change my strategy for the hunt and keep away from the affected areas? Or will I be better off hunting around those areas? Do deer move far away from the affected area when fires occur or do they usually come back? Should I start from the north side of the unit and work my way down towards the border? We have always camped near the border in Washington camp and hunted all the washes and ridges there with minimum luck. I might only be able to hunt 3or4 day's out of my hunt Window so any information regarding my questions are well appreciated. it might only be me and my brother going out this year so we really want to be smart about utilizing our time and hunt area. We are hoping to both harvest a deer but I'm mostly interested in my little brother to kill one, being he had never been able to kill a WT, this will be our 5th year going out and onlyi have killed a deer. I wish the best of luck to everyone that drew a tag this season. Be smart and be safe when out in the wilderness. Happy hunting. Mark

Nice job man....what are you using to bring them back to life. I have several sets sitting in the garage that would look good if I did a little coloring to them
