A successful javelina hunt for me and my son. An hour and a half into the hunt it was over. My son harvested his javeline at eight yards.

My sons first deer hunt a success! I started dreaming of this tag since the day he was born. He was able to draw his first time putting in. Getting his first deer at the age of Ten. We put the deer to bed on the second afternoon and moved in, set up and he shot the deer at 230yds. The ecitement from that point was something all of you need to experience. Yes I am proud!!!!

I would like to know what unit you were in and why won't you post the pics? -
Glad to share. That's why they put them up there. Here are links to a couple of older articles on the RM G&F site. This one is the article on Sergio Orozcos P&Y world record Coues. World-Record Coues Buck! This one is an article about the mulies CW member John Noble, his brother and his dad killed on the Strip. 3 Bulls Down, 3 Bucks To Go -TONY I seen a photo of that coues buck and I don't think the exit hole came from an arrow? Just my opinion, and I know opinion are like ********!

23 Dec. tag for me, WOW! First Dec tag ever. I have been applying for this tag for 16 years. My son drew 23 junior tag as well. Let the antler growth begin! -
G&F will cash every check sent to them! So don't get to excited

Here is a pic of of my turkey killed in unit 27 Az. What an exciting hunt this was! There were alot of birds and we never saw another hunter. The birds were on fire.

If the bear died of natural causes you can keep it otherwise it belongs to them!

This gobbler had a ten inch beard, although it was not very thick. Two years ago in the same unit I killed one that had a ten inch and a six inch and those beards were real thick.

I have been cutting my own meat for years now (deer, beef, javelina, pork etc.) I always use water to clean the bloody area and whatever else might need to be washed. I have not yet once got sick. For deer I always trim all the fat and then wash with a hose. I think the key is once you have it cleaned up quarter it and put it in the fridge and leave it for a week or so, bones and all. I have my own seperate fridge for meat and I don't use the main fridge for it. Letting your meat hang or sitting in a fridge allowing it to get chilled to the bone is key for me. When you begin cutting up your deer be sure to remove all fat and blood and it should be grrrrreat! Blood will definately cause the gamey taste as well as fat! Hope this helps.

This is not a huge buck, however I am sure proud of it. I had only a half day to hunt and was lucky enough to find this buck and shot it at 420 yards in Sonora.

I bone the whole thing out and take the meat to The Sausage Shop in Tucson and have beer sticks made. Best suasge in Arizona!!!

Nice bear! Which unit did you shoot him in?

In the Past I have heard alot you on this site wanting to get rid of the GF Commission. The first step in doing this I believe is we need to get rid of the govenor we have! We as hunters would be better off to have new blood in office.

Voting for a new Govenor
venadoslayer replied to venadoslayer's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Dave is right, If we as hunters can not see the truth in this we are all screwed. If this govenor gets re-elcted we as hunters stand a real good chance of losing the fight to hunt in this state. Look G&F has already given in to them buy stopping the hunting of mountain lion for three months out of the year starting in 07. Whats next? Wake up folks! We do not need any more tree huggers in office and especially the G&F Commission. -
GAME AND FISH TO CHANGE HUNT STRUCTURES
venadoslayer replied to bowhuntinmaniac's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
I just wanted to say that we as hunters in the state of Arizona need to let the people of the Az. G&F Dept. know that we are serious. I think that the members of the commission are appointed by the Govenor. We need to get some sort of pettiton going around the entire state to get rid of the commission we have. This has turned into a huge bureaucracy and this needs to change. We no longer need to have the commision appointed by the Govenor, these positions should be filled by a vote from the people. If we are going to make a stand this is the only way we are going to get them to listen. If anyone knows how to get this process started I would be willing to get the required signatures in my city and several others across the stae that are willinmg as well. -
GAME AND FISH TO CHANGE HUNT STRUCTURES
venadoslayer replied to bowhuntinmaniac's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
You cna be sure that with increase in fees and this hunt structure G&F are getting money hungry. You can't tell me that our tag and license fees are not supporting programs like the wolf program. Since they have been introduced are deer tags have fallen in unit 1&27. They have cut elk tags by at least 3000 permits. Sounds like we need to fire all the political figures in the game& fish and return the rights to the hunters who support them. We need to stand together on this one, so get those e-mails and letters out to The game&fish and please attend the meetings and let our voice be heard across the entire state.
