You got that right! Roasting green chiles reminds me of my younger days roasting them in the backyard with my grandfather. We would go buy a big sack of green chiles in the morning and roast them all day in the backyard on the grill. Just him and I.

That scapegoat looks like a nice pack. I would look for a used pack before you drop money on a new one.

Beautiful rifle! Been thinking about picking up a T3 myself in .270. Best of luck with the sale! -
Thanks makes sense with leaving the cooler in the truck. And i definitely have 4x4 I have a 1994 toyota Land cruiser with locking diffs. You have me intrigued, with the lower rolling hills. That iss interesting I thought they liked to stay high and tight away from anything that doesn't resemble a fellow coues deer. Whats your opinion on why they are hangout out on lower hills ? Not sure why they are hanging out in the lower elevations. I would guess hunting pressure? In the last few years I've seen coues in same general areas I see mulies. Most of them seem to be pretty decent sized.

Lots of deer all over the unit. Hiking in a good ways off the main trails will only increase your chance of tagging a good buck. I've seen a lot of people "truck hunt" from the road. So by just getting out the truck and hiking in a good ways will increase your odds. 1. Illegals/Drug Mules are out there. Always keep your head on a swivel. I always carry a sidearm with extra mags in my pack hip pouches. Driving your truck out and then hiking in should be no problem as long as you have 4x4 to use in some spots. Always keep anything worth breaking into your truck out of sight. I don't keep an ice chest in my truck anymore. I'm afraid one day someone will pass by my truck, see the cooler and break my window to get some water. I now keep a cheap ice chest in the bed of the truck whenever we do take the truck out. 2. Camping in big groups is always good. Our base camp usually has anywhere from 10-15 people on our hunts. With a few of those people staying in camp all day. My grandfather has gout and can no longer hunt so he just likes to go camping with us and be the "camp cook". If you're not hunting with a big group, maybe consider camping next to a main road and driving in everyday? If you have a camper on your truck maybe just drive in and sleep in your truck wherever you may be that night? Lots of good areas to hunt in 36b with pretty easy access. Almost any spot in 36b will hold coues deer. I've noticed in the past years more and more coues hanging out lower in the rolling hills. Grab your tripod/binos, set up on a big hill and glass. You'll find em!

My buddy and I were talking last night about his recent trip to San Diego. My buddy told me he was wearing a Kuiu cap on the beach when some guy came up to him talking about the camo and hunting. The guy mentioned to my buddy that he just recently sold all his kuiu gear for some new camo that released that was branched off from the Kuiu brand. Anybody seen or know of this "new camo"? My buddy can't remember the name the guy told him. I thought maybe he got the story backwards about Kuiu branching off from Sitka?

Now that I'm looking into getting some Swaro 15s, I'm kinda confused on the difference between all of them. Can anybody tell me the difference between the generations of them all? Also, What price ranges (used) that I should expect to pay between the models? Any info is appreciated!

See I knew I was forgetting something! TP is always in my pack! Along with a first aid kit!

A day pack is my go-to. Badlands 2200 was the pack I was using but was a little bigger than I was needing. I learned that if I have the extra space in my day pack, I tend to try to fill it up with stuff that I don't need which = more weight. So I got myself a Kuiu 1850 and its been a perfect day pack. Just the right size and holds everything I need. Here is what I usually have in my pack... - Tripod - Vortex 15s - Headlamp w/extra batteries - Water Bladder - Skinning Knife - Lighter - GPS - Light Jacket - Food/snacks - Extra G19 mags in hip pouches (I know I'm forgetting something!)

Does anyone know if outdoorsman makes one that fits Vortex 15s? Didn't see one on their website... I'm pretty sure it is the same one that fits the Swaro SLCs. I'm sure there is one. Give the Outdoorsman's a call. Will do, thanks! -
Lots of interesting patterns/camos I've never seen. I showed my buddy and he still can't remember which one the guy told him it was . I think he just got the story mixed up somehow. Thanks to everyone who posted. Crazy to see how many "new" camos are out there!
